I had a great experience at Tofas. When I first walked in, I expected it to be really cold, but the temperature was actually perfect and super comfortable. The bathroom was clean and smelled pleasantly fresh, which I always appreciate and notice right away. The music was great and added to the overall vibe.

I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was absolutely delicious — hands down the best I’ve had. Flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.

Welcome to Clovis California.

This is our initial visit to Tofas. You can take the food to go or dine in. You place your order at the counter upon entering and then seat yourself if dining in. They then bring the food to your table.

Now for my review. I ordered the Shish (lamb) kabob which included grilled bell peppers and onion, rice pilaf, salad, and pita bread. My wife ordered the chicken shawarma, which came with the same items as the shish kabob. As a special treat, the young lady that took our order included some home made hummus.

The lamb was cooked perfectly and had a great taste. Mixed with the bell peppers and onion made it outstanding. The warm pita was the topper, dipping it in the freshly made hummus. The salad was fresh and was NOT over-powered or drenched in an overwhelming dressing. The dressing complimented the fresh vegetables and made it refreshing.

My wife stated that the chicken shawarma was cooked perfectly, had a great flavor, and the portion was great.

The service was very good. The atmosphere was nothing special. It was modern and simple. But of course, I came for the food.

Overall, if you enjoy Mediterranean food, I’d highly recommend you give Tofas a try. I’d be curious to hear your thoughts.

Have fun!

I was only told the cashier was new AFTER she messed up my order and the entire experience. I had to repeat myself three times and she still entered it incorrectly. Being new is understandable, but the lack of focus and basic support was frustrating.

What made it worse was when I mentioned that better training and stepping in to help would’ve avoided the issue, the other employee raised her voice at me in front of other customers. That was completely unprofessional.

Very disappointing customer service. I won’t be returning.

This has got to be one of the best Mediterranean cuisine restaurants in town! As you walk in, you will see a spacious locale with clean tables and friendly staff to guide you through the menu. Once you order, your food is brought to your table and you prepare to eat the color and texture balanced plate before you. The chicken shawarma plate was full of flavor from the tender and well seasoned chicken to the perfect blend of oil, vinegar and spices in the salad dressing. The rice and hummus were perfect in texture and also tasted delicious! Even better, the soft music in the background was Christian music. This will be a place that I return to time and again.

(My only regret was not taking a good picture of the food before I scarfed it down!)

I’ve loved coming here, but my last meal was not it. I ordered through DoorDash and it seemed like more oil than chicken. I didn’t even eat it, what a waste of money and time. I am disappointed. Never eating here again.

They must have done this accidentally, but the chicken Kabob was extremely salty. I had to throw it away. Also tasted stale and dry. Not sure why they topped it off with oil, but the excessive amount of oil didn’t help at all.

I’ve only been here once but the salmon plate and babagaboush were solid for Fresno Mediterranean food. Casual atmosphere, healthy meal a bit Americanized in flavor. Decent babagaboush

Not bad location to have a meal wither lunch or dinner. Food is ok, served well I guess. They need to pay extra attention to hygiene and cleanness. Rest rooms need attention. Staff are kind but they need to be more knowledgeable in their menu it took me a while to order and explain to the lady who was there how I want my meal served! Table where I was sitting wasn’t cleaned properly. They need to pay attention to these things, if they want better reputation! In general, not bad!
