Some of the best sushi I’ve had in Denver. It’s extremely fresh (from the ocean to Colorado within 48 hours) and great quality. I definitely recommend the Kitchen Specials, especially the crudo selected for the week! There are plenty of seating options, high and low tables as well as indoor and outdoor. There is an option to sit at the Chef’s Table, which I will be doing on my next visit. (Note that when booking your reservation, the “bar” is another area). Everything was presented gracefully and it felt like the whole team was taking part. I can’t wait to come back!

had the best time celebrating my birthday at sushi ronin !! we decided to do the omakase and were not disappointed !! for omakase you are required to sit at the sushi bar, which i loved because we were able to create a great relationship with the chef. sushi chef Ethan was incredible to watch craft each dish and was very informative about what we were eating. my favorite dish was photo #2 (blue fin tuna belly with truffle and garlic chili oil + more i can’t remember). literally melted in my mouth and tasted insane !! we were also lucky to get our hands on some copper river salmon which is only in season one month out of the year (photo #6). this salmon is hard to find even in season because supplies are so limited. everything was incredibly fresh (48hrs or less from water to table). also enjoyed the fresh micro greens on each dish. all in all we had a fantastic experience and we will be back again soon !!

Made a reservation for 7:30 at sushi bar. Arrived at 7:20 and were seated right away. Place was busy, and filled up. We ordered house salad, 12 nigiri, 3 rolls, gyoza, a big beer, and a bottle of sake. Everything was really good. Fish quality was great. The sushi chefs at the counter were engaging and fun. Beat sushi in Denver so far.

Second time eating here–would definitely recommend! Lovely service, chefs, and environment. Will always recommend their Manhattan and of course, any of the chef specials! Looking forward to my next visit with chefs, Larry and Marin! Excited to try Omakase!

I went here due to the high ratings, and boy did they live up to the hype! The staff was courteous and attentive, but nevermind that, the sushi selection was more than extensive than I expected for a land locked state. Due to that extensive sushi selection, I ordered an Omakase and placed my trust in the chef to offer me the best menu items. It was incredibly delicious and will be coming back whenever I am back in Denver.

A fabulous meal courtesy a very thoughtful staff! Hard to find someone as cheerful as Savannah welcome you and Joslyn is absolutely the best in being creative and going outta the way to orchestrate something off the menu! As a vegetarian I had somewhat limited options available but they whipped up a delicious veggie platter and a very tasty salad 🙂

You can find this omakase experience in the Denver highlands…

Sushi Ronin is a Japanese eatery & bar featuring artistic presentations of fresh fish in modern Asian style surroundings. We enjoyed omakase here for dinner & absolutely loved it.

We arrived at Sushi Ronin and were seated at the sushi bar. Marin, Ethan, & Larry were the masters behind the sushi and it was awesome to see these sushi chefs at work. All three of them were so fun and attentive during our dinner service. Manager, Ida ensured our meal ran smoothly and checked in periodically.

For cocktails I started with the seasonal, Pineapple Express made with vodka, gin, basil, simply syrup, & yuzhu. The Pineapple Express was vibrant green in color and refreshing in taste.

For dinner we did the ‘Ronin Omakase’ which was the culinary experience left up to the chef. The omakase is always changing and is a dine-in only option. I highly recommend trusting the chef and partaking in omakase.

Our omakase experience began with a palate cleanser – the Mandarin Elixir.

The Chutoro Crudo was made with mid belly bluefin tuna, pomegranate zu, dragonfruit, golden beets, lemon zest, maldon salt, and micro chives. The dish itself was a gorgeous kaleidoscope of colors. The mid belly bluefin tuna offered a luxurious texture without being overly fatty. The smooth, buttery taste of the tuna went well with the sweet pop of the pomegranate and the mild earthiness of the golden beets.

The Mukozuke was the Chef’s choice sashimi accompanied by wasabi yuzhu, chive oil, chili crisp, rice puffs, chili threads, & pea shoots. The presentation of the Mukozuke was stunning. The sashimi was so fresh; I loved the texture variation of the smooth fish against the delicate crunch of the rice puffs.

I enjoyed chilled sake with the rest of dinner.

The Bluefin Tuna Flight included sashimi pieces from fatty to lean. The otoro tuna sashimi featured intense fat marbling which resulted in rich flavoring (far left). The leanest tuna was very low in fat and had a striking red color (far right).

The Salmon Nigiri Flight included fresh Scottish salmon, New Zealand salmon, Tasmanian salmon, and seared Scottish salmon. The nigiri flight was exceptional. The New Zealand salmon was balanced and herbal. The Tasmanian was light & clean. The seared Scottish salmon was my favorite – it melted in my mouth with a gorgeous richness.

The Canadian Crab sushi pieces were topped with black caviar & garlic butter. The lump crab was sweet with tender chew and the crown of black caviar really took this sushi piece to the next level.

The Itovori, Threadfin Bream and Hiramasa, Greater Amberjack were served on ice.

The Scallop nigiri was complemented by olive oil. The scallop was excellent – sweet & mild in flavor.

The Godzilla roll was made with tempura shrimp, avocado, seared NY strip, and black garlic butter. Larry fired up this roll and we could see why it’s one of Sushi Ronin’s most popular.

The Matcha Trifle was a Japanese take on Tiramisu – lovely in looks & taste.

Came here on a date night and made reservations (do this on weekends, there was limited space) and was sat at the sushi bar. We ordered the yellowtail jalapeño, tuna collar, yellowtail roll, blue fin roll, waygu sushi, and the Mkay roll. On top of the food being absolutely delicious (yellowtail roll and Mkay blew us away), the service was incredible. We sat at the sushi bar and Chefs Johnny and Brian (I think, we had a bottle of wine), and our server, Peter, were attentive, friendly, hilarious, and accommodating. By far some of the best sushi I’ve had in Denver, we will most definitely be back.

By far the best Sushi in Denver. Parking was easy, and the host was quick to fulfill our reservation and seat us. The wait staff were friendly, welcoming, and even held the doors for us. Oh and the FOOD! Here are two pictures of some of the dishes we ordered. Usually I use soy sauce with any sushi, but this was so fresh and flavorful that soy wasn’t even thought of! Can’t wait to visit again!

I would recommend trying this place out. We did omakase and it was fun. They do it slightly differently here from other places I’ve been to. Rather than individual pieces, they serve plates of sushi at a time. Everything was really good and we were full by the end. The chefs were fun (see my blurry pic of one of them). I think their standard omakase is $175, but they have cheaper options as well. We did the $125/person and it was still a lot of food. The place is a bit small and cramped, but otherwise no complaints. I’d return again.
