Really great food. Tasted fresh. The staff was super courteous & very attentive. I almost gave 4 stars, instead of 5, because it is in a strip mall. However, I know how that can affect a business. I’m just not fond of strip malls, so nothing against the establishment. It was very clean & well maintained. I would definitely eat here again.

I found this place while searching for breakfast spots in McDonough but ended up coming for lunch instead. I was excited to see whole catfish on the menu, but they only had fillets available—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Fried to a perfect golden brown, as you can see. Everything was cooked just right. The hush puppies were a bit gummy, probably because of their size, but still tasty. And the sweet tea? True Southern style. I’d definitely stop by again if I’m in the area—though that I-75 traffic can be a headache.

It was an average breakfast experience. Food was good but not memorable, service was also good

We came from Pennsylvania and only saw chain restaurants. This place had a great review. Kiah gave us excellent service and led us to amazing oxtails and catfish. Throw in collard greens and yams and we love the taste of the south!

The overall dining experience at this new location is good, because of its cleanliness, and food quality, as well as the disposition of the waitress and her efficiency at getting our orders correct.
The extra charge for processing credit cards, food proportions, and pricing didn’t seem to fit the meal.

Traveling through and Left Hungry and unsatisfied!Stopped at this establishment only because it said Southern Cooking..WORST MISTAKE OF THE DAY!The staff seemed knowledgeable about the food however this was DEFINITELY NOT HOMEMADE AND TASTED AS SUCH!The food and drink was awful. The meatloaf was DRY and horrible..the so call cornbread dressing was more like stovetop without the seasoning. The fried chicken tasted like nothing but flour and chicken lacked any type of seasoning. The “Candied yams” Far for candied and poured straight out the can!!!The Turkey was smothered and covered with a white canned gravy..the cornbread tasted like cornmeal and water that’s it.The Drinks Arnold Palmers made with what must be premade jug lemonade and just not good. The fried green tomatoes soggy at the bottom with grease!!We were told by the waitress that there was nothing she could do about the ticket there was NO manager there they are just there alone..the manager only comes in to open and close ; which is ridiculous.Advised our number could be taken and maybe he could call us in 24-48 hrs and she was texting him about it!!Checked the receipt only to see being charged for items we didn’t receive as well..we dined in and charged for takeout boxes 4 times..not only did we not take out any food or actually eat the meals!TOTAL $50.96 for unacceptable food! This restaurant is definitely not worth the time or money and definitely not home cooking false statements.

BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER… I got turkey and dressing, but as you can see from the pics it’s just wet cornbread ( no seasoning not even black pepper, onions, etc) and strips of turkey. No ROLLS even though I asked for them. Customer service SUCKED. Upon entering, the chick with black hair and double chin ( who’s at the register and always on her phone) will not greet you if your black. She will roll her eyes, and act like you’re invisible. THE WAIT TIME FOR THE SLOP I WAS SERVED WAS OVER 20 minutes. This isn’t SOUTHERN COOKING . Please VIEW THE PICS AND BE JUDGE YOURSELF!

Went there because a couple of my co-workers wanted southern food. We were lucky enough that the place was pretty empty, just before lunch break. Server brought us cornbread and roll. They where pretty good. I ordered the southern fried steak, but, I wasn’t surprised with it. I had the brown gravy and wasn’t amused either. The coleslaw was ok, but the mac and cheese was awesome.

The food is alright, i’ve definitely had better, it’s not homemade and it’s not fresh. the vegetables are clearly from a can, and they tell you it’s homemade. I had gotten tea and there were gnats in my cup, and when i said something about it, the girl i told acted like nothing was wrong. She was NOT our server, however ours was busy. And when you walk in, there’s just gnats everywhere, and at the back table in the corner closest to the kitchen is also full of gnats. I don’t recommend unless you want to eat at a place where hygiene and cleanliness obviously doesn’t matter. The server we had was great though, Payton, she’s the only good thing about the restaurant.
