We’ve been a few times now and each time I’ve been increasingly impressed. The atmosphere is great. There’s more seating in the back that’s good for families or if you have a bigger group. The staff are knowledgable, efficient, and kind. The sashimi is SO fresh, it’s delicious! The sushi rolls are perfectly proportionate; you don’t feel like you’re just eating a giant ball of rice with no fish. We also tried out their hot foods, even though that’s not why I go to a sushi restaurant, but if that’s your thing, it’s delicious! The waiter also told us that they make most of their desserts in house! We were already so full, but wanted to try it, and still ended up finishing it all. If you haven’t been there, you must!

The food was great! The micro greens on the salad were robust and full of flavor. The mangoloma was refreshing and sweet. Crispy brussel sprouts were perfect. Tuna roll and snow crab roll were well made and full of flavor. The bartender did an amazing job at serving us- went above and beyond and checked in often. We look forward to coming back.

My bf and I were excited to try out IWA, but sad to say it missed the mark on both of our dishes- especially for the prices. We went during lunch, I ordered a beef hot stone bowl with udon noodles instead of rice, and my bf ordered a tuna sushi roll with jalapeno and wasabi. The beef in my bowl was the dryest I’ve ever had and the dish overall was very plain. I would recommend to the restaurant that they use a teriyaki sauce or something other than oil to flavor it. My bf said his sushi roll was fine, but overall it felt more like a $12 roll than a $20 one. There are other Japanese restaurants that are cheaper that deliver better quality food. Although the food wasn’t exactly terrific, the service was impeccable and everyone was kind.

Super fresh sashimi. The selection is great! The rolls are so good! They have a regular food menu, but I tried the sushi only. Seaweed salad, Hamachi, Escolar, Toro, Kings Salmon, Texas and Hamachi lover roll. All super!

My wife and I have been here twice now and both times we have had an excellent meal. My wife had the sashimi salad both times and loved it – she said it was so fresh. On the second visit I got the “Tornado” roll and I will definitely be having that one again. great spot for fresh sushi, and not your typical Dallas “scene.” Glad that they are in the neighborhood.

Had a lovely dinner last night in this treasure of an enclave at preston/royal. It is a small, quaint restaurant. It’s cozy feel is coupled by attentive, super friendly staff and amazing food. They catered to a food modification preference happily and perfectly. Bonus, fair prices. Highly rec. We will be back soon and often.

Best sushi I ever have had! Staff is very friendly and attentive. The Hawaiian roll was so fresh and delicious! When you go, try the Brussels sprouts and the mango cheesecake. Wow!! I can’t wait to go back!
