Veloce is a hidden gem that only Reston locals are mostly aware about. Since I found out about this place I’ve been looking forward to my lunch hours, every day tasting something new on their rich and delicious menu. This place is not visible from the road. It looks like all the buildings around are offices, but trust your map; this place is in one of those buildings. Drive around if you need to, and you’ll eventually find the sign.
Should you go through all that trouble to find the place? Umm, yes, because the sub I had here was really tasty and gave me a homey feel. It’s family-run, and the staff was very friendly. If you are out of ideas for lunch and nearby, consider trying the subs at this place. You won’t regret it.
The thick double plastic bags are overkill, though. I wish they would use paper wraps and paper bags instead. Something to improve upon.

Ordered a Rueben & the bread was dry and stale. and the filling was so small & too tangy, no sour kraut & the dressing & corned beef was like chopped meat and not like a real Rueben sandwhich from a good deli. I ordered it w/ chips & it was almost $14. Will not be going back

Nice modern interior, impeccably clean, and fresh ingredients.
Very friendly owners, John and his wife greeted us as soon as we came in; they were happy to explain the menu to us and our options.
I ordered the BYOS (build your own sub), I chose a sub roll stuffed with grilled chicken, hot peppers, lettuce tomato and fresh mozzarella, with Italian seasoning and Balsamic vinegar. I was not disappointed, the sandwich was stuffed with deliciousness!
My wife ordered the Crazy Italian stuffed with capicola, mortadella, pepperoni & salami, she added lettuce, hot peppers and vinegar and oil; she loved it, but couldn’t finish it!! We ended our lunch with a great brownie!
Again highly recommend!!

A Yelp event brought this place to my attention. It’s pretty much the definition of a hidden gem since you’re not going to catch it from the road.
I’m always on the lookout for a good Italian sub (or hoagie for the PA people.) I went with a Crazy Italian which had capicola, mortadella, pepperoni, salami, provolone (I think), and I had lettuce, tomato, oil, and vinegar. The roll is the foundation and it’s not easy to find good rolls around here. These were spot on. Soft, but sturdy enough to maintain structure with the addition of oil and vinegar. They don’t slice the cold cuts per sandwich, but they still seemed fresh.
The staff is really nice and wanted to make sure everything was correct. I’d say prices are pretty reasonable for the size of the sandwich.

Great deli! What a little gem hiding in Reston. The club sandwich was excellent and I’ll certainly get that again. Everything here is quality. From their food to their furniture – you can tell the owners really care. Their prices are more than reasonable so I feel like I’m getting a good value also. They just got their ABC license two days ago so they’ve started doing happy hours. Patio seating is available also.

Sarah and her Husband are so sweet and patient! The deli is super clean and smelled AHmazing! So many sandwiches to choose from and I went with the Brooklyn. My sandwich had the freshest ingredients! Definitely support this local business than the normal Subway, Jersey Mike’s, etc. Definitely will come back and recommend to others.

This is a recently-opened deli, around 3 weeks now I believe. It is a family-run business and the staff were very friendly. The interior design was great. The menu was a typical deli menu, very simple.
I was there for breakfast so I ordered egg and cheese with white bread, toasted croissant with jam, and a cappuccino.
The white bread was quite dry but the eggs were cooked perfectly. The sandwich as a whole tasted mediocre.
I asked for the croissants to be toasted, when gave the option. I ate the croissant within 15 minutes, it was a bit cold. It is probably due to the jam. But it tasted great.
The cappuccino was awesome. I really liked the flavor. I did ask it with sugar, but I did not taste any sugar in it. But it complemented well with the croissant.
Overall a decent place if you want to grab a quick meal. Hope the owner takes my review positively.
The owner mentioned that they also offer Catering. They are in the process of obtaining an alcohol license for a bar in the restaurant.

Absolutely incredible!!! I had the Brooklyn sandwich (pictured) and my husband had the Crazy Italian. Both were perfection. The sandwiches were full, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was clean and modern, and the customer service was top-notch. We were even asked how the food was on our way out. This deli is the real deal! Highly recommend. We will be back!
