Jones Road’s Catch of the Day reeled us in with their Fish Tacos! Fresh, flavorful, and gone before the camera could even blink . The crew, especially Tuan, were top-notch, making the whole experience a catch. We’ll definitely be back for another bite (and maybe some photos next time!).

The Catch of the Day is set up like a smaller sports bar with several tvs with different sports games airing but unfortunately after COVID people rarely sit and dine there. It’s definitely not due to the lack of delicious seafood it’s just one of the results of COVID. However, please don’t allow that to fool you into thinking that they aren’t busy because their to go orders are extremely busy. In my personal opinion they have the BEST FRIED FISH in the entire Jersey Village area. I like to call my order in and when I get there if it isn’t ready you just pay for it and they’ll ask if you would like to sit in your vehicle and they’ll actually bring it out to you in less than 10 minutes. If you love fried fish like I do, please do yourself a favor and order Catch 5. It’s 2 very large and thick pieces of fried fish (your choice of catfish or tilapia) and 7 fried shrimp with your choice of 2 sides.

Don’t play yourself and come on a Monday they are closed. I learned quick and we have been coming back ever since. What’s good? The sushi is good surprisingly not pre- made stuff you find at some places. Large portions. The fried catfish breading is magical. Crispy AF but so moist on the inside. Fried rice is on point as well. Budain balls are light too mainly because it’s actually budain. Can’t wait to go during crawfish season to see what may that do. Oh did I mention the price? Ho Lee chit they have good prices. All you other seafood places y’all hustling people. ( The market price is still BS but you know) If they had liquor this would be perfect.

Excellent service! I have a gastro issue so I had to ask if it would be possible to make adjustments to my sushi order. When I explained about my issue, Tuam, the sushi chef came out to make sure he understood what I needed.
The presentation of both dishes was beautiful, and I wanted for nothing. Despite the restaurant being busy, with a big group table, customers at the bar and booths filled! Eric, my server, was very attentive and intuited my needs. I was so happy with his service that I wrote my number on my receipt with a message that if he ever needs/wants a reference he can put me on his list. I was thrilled with my experience, especially with it’s humble surroundings.
