I was pleasantly surprised with both the food options and atmosphere. Quite and relaxing. The fresh soup and Mexican section was great. High-end University “all-you can eat” restaurant.

If I could compare this establishment to anything it would be Mt. Everest: not because it’s the pinnacle of anything, but because it’s all downhill, cold, bland, and impersonal. Though it is an “all you care to eat” buffet, they very intentionally crank the temp down and make the place generally unpleasant to try and get you out the door as quickly as possible.
The only changes they have made in the time I have been here served to alienate the students and the staff, definitively disgruntling patrons and personnel in many small and irritating fell swoops.
The place would be improved tenfold if the Sodexo overlords would decide to grace the place with fresh (or even halfway acceptable) ingredients. Though the good people of the staff try their best, the food would be considered a cruelty if given to prisoners of war.
The only thing to be said about Boundless is the presence of Christa the Sandwich Lady. Never has there been such a fun and personable sandwich lady that could do so much with the meager, runty scraps they afford her. 5/5 stars for Christa, and she is the only reason the place got 2 stars at all. If not for Christa, I would never have stepped foot in the wretched place since my freshman year.

Food is good for the first week or so, then it becomes absolutely atrocious. Burnt steak, undercooked rice, pure slop from the grills, rotten eggs, and a horrible toilet smell that emanates throughout the cafeteria. On top of that, the servers are rude and will refuse to give you more than a spoonful of food. Eating at boundless feels like a chore rather than a meal. As a matter of fact, they should pay you to eat here.

This place used to be okay… but I come in one morning and LITERALLY EVERYTHING is either out or made poorly. There was no chocolate milk, barely any regular milk. The best food on my plate was the waffle that I made by myself (barely had enough batter to even make the waffle. The rest of the food was absolute trash. Eggs and sausage tasted terrible, potatoes weren’t seasoned and there was no gravy for the biscuit. The students at this school pay far too much for their meal plans to wake up and come to breakfast to this.

Students loathe this place, and there’s a good reason: the food outright sucks. Beyond that, crowd control
In the evenings is poor, so be prepared to wait 30 minutes for medium rare grilled chicken. Lunch is usually serviceable, but only because they intentionally serve higher quality items when faculty is most likely to dine. Note that 1-2 times a month Sodexo does vent hood cleaning until 2 am, keeping students who live in New Res 2 wide awake for most of the night. Per Sodexo, these timeframes are scheduled by district manager Torrie Smith with no regard to those who live in the residence hall housing this dining facility. Full time students are second class citizens at Boundless.
Staff ranges from extremely warm, friendly, and hardworking to rude and nasty, but these individuals are far from the root of the problem. To fix this embarrassing excuse for dining on campus, Riddle really needs to think about restructuring the folks managing Sodexo on campus, because what is available to paying students is far below par.

Prison level slop would not recommend sometimes one edible thing

I have come here while visiting relatives and I typically haven’t had issues. However, today I had a less positive experience. While I was ordering my sandwich, I noticed that the woman at the sandwich station did not change her gloves after each order. This seems like a major issue for food safety, especially for people with allergies.
As an aside, it looks like the portions have gotten much smaller.

Sometimes good sometimes bad, they rarely have tuna at the sub station. The food does make you use the toilet around half an hour or so after eating. When ordering burgers I have had to wait 40 minutes to an hour just standing there only to find out they lost my order and I’ll have to wait again. Fruit options are small, just honeydew and cantaloupe, sometimes watermelon. They got rid of the cool drink fountains where you can choose your flavor of drink and replaced them with the old style soda fountain with not many options. Their Asian section usually only has basic not imaginative meals like rice and shrimp with peas or curry, which I’m not a fan of. Should serve alcohol so I could forget about my experience.

Boundless is relatively okay for a college dining hall. The selection is usually pretty good, and the food tastes pretty good most of the time. The only thing is, I don’t know a single student who hasn’t caught food poisoning from eating here
