Wonderful place! Food is excellent. Service can be iffy with new people, but overall the atmosphere can’t be beat. Love the new outdoor seating and selection of craft beers. I miss the smaller version but relish this newer, open area. It was done correctly and it’s my go to place.

Don’t be deceived by the parking. The lot is small but there is a lot of room inside and a nice patio with seating. I almost passed on going when I saw cars parked along the road for a while, but took the chances and went in, got seated promptly.
I had the BBQ platter and the brisket was the best thing on the plate. Good onion rings and fries as well. I will definitely come back. There was a slight problem with the food for my daughter’s meal, but they corrected that without question.

Service is great, looks like a family business and they really care about you having a good time. Prices are AMAZING! For a family of four for dinner and 2 drinks, our bill the other night was $25.
Only things that would make this place a little better would be gluten-free cider and gluten-free/veggie menu items like veggie burgers and veggie burritos/bowls and more fresh veggie sides.

I have always liked Old Town Tap and have been going there for about a decade. They upgraded about a year-and-a-half ago and added an outdoor patio that’s wonderful. It’s definitely a great place to go hang out outdoors and have a few drinks whether coming back from Balmoral or just going out on a leisurely Sunday. Their burnt ends hands down are the best I have ever had and they have a great craft and international beer list. I’ll be back as often as I can and always also make a stop at Evil Horse Brewery a block away on the way home. Nice job Smokey Joe’s.

Great food and service! Large bar & tables inside & seating available outside with umbrellas for each table. Large variety of food & drinks. Nice family atmosphere. They also have live bands on Friday nights. I highly recommend to go & have a meal or at least a drink!

I had spoken to the Manager i was complaining about the manager he was really concerned You have a crazy manager breaking up conversations male and female the red bull rep which nothing to do with as being an employee of Jim’s tap This strange lady watch out for her day will come and be less fortunate next time I had warned the manager to tell her to stay away from me .I wont so nice next time.

Great burgers, matter of fact all the food is great as well as the service. I went there before the remodel and the place is larger, offering live music and an outdoor space. I live in northwest Indiana and always stop by after a round of golf at Balmoral Woods.

So the Name is Smokey Jo’s and the pic. Is of the Burnt Ends. It’s basically brisket chunks. The Brisket was tender but not a lot of flavor. It was Sunday and they were kind of busy but still good service for setting at the bar.
