Wasabi Sushi in Jacksonville is a Japanese restaurant located in one of the many plazas that make up the River City Marketplace “outdoor shopping mall”. This is conveniently very near JAX airport, and with more than 4,800 parking spaces this is the place where all the area Uber/Lyft drivers hang out waiting for airport related work, meaning that you can get here rather quickly from any area hotel you may be staying at. The restaurant is somewhat less than moderately sized and a bit cluttered, although clean. They feature hibachi meals here, and have an all-you-can-eat sushi/sashimi option, as well as other plates. I went with the steamed Pork Gyoza, Green Salad, Clear Soup, and the very fresh Sushi & Sashimi Combo; absolutely delicious. Very much recommended.

Great experience at Wasabi! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out surprisingly fast — We got the shrimp fried rice, miso soup, clear soup, and a couple of sushi rolls (including the Spicy Girl and Baymeadows rolls), and everything hit the spot.
The sushi was well made and nicely presented, and the shrimp in the fried rice was perfectly grilled. Both soups were warm and tasty!
The service was a bit slow when it came to refilling drinks. That said, they were clearly busy, and the staff was still polite and attentive overall.
They have AYCE Sushi too but we didn’t try that this time around!
Definitely a place I’d come back to for another date night!

I did the all you can eat for 22 dollars. Can’t beat that price. Just make sure you dont waste food bc they charge for food not eaten. Server was sweet.

I was very disappointed with my recent experience. I found hair in my sushi, and instead of receiving an apology, I was told that none of the employees have hair that long — implying I added it myself. That response felt dismissive and unprofessional. Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and care in handling the situation was extremely upsetting.

Not much to look at from the outside. As a matter of fact when I saw outside I wanted to go somewhere else. Once inside the staff was very good and the sushi was outstanding. I ordered about ten different sushi rolls for 4 people. The variety was simply outstanding. Miso soup and wow. There was so much left over we all took some home for dinner . I highly recommend this place. Do not judge the book by the cover.

Ordered takeout and the food was pretty good but the service was not. Girl at the front was rude and stated I was wrong about something on the web menu that I was not wrong about (I checked) and then proceeded to say that she’s never actually looked at the menu online. I don’t think anyone appreciates basically being called a liar and being a first time customer, this did not leave an impression of a place I would like to come back to. Too bad because I live close by and get takeout more than I probably should, so we probably would have started ordering from them a lot more if they treated their customers nicely.
