Was here yesterday with a bus group.
Fantastic food, especially the smoked turkey and fried chicken. Both were to die for. Mashed potatoes with gravy n green beans n cranberry sauce. Delicious, lip-smacking good!
Service was good too!
Need to come back here by myself n do more stuff like buggy rides etc

Our group arrived by bus from Maryland for lunch before going to the “ Sight and Sound” show! We were all seated and feasted family style! The staff was pleasant. The restaurant reminded me visually inside with a Cracker Barrel facade! Not only did we eat good food (fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, egg pasta, green string beans, meat loaf, sliced roast beef, Cole slaw, rolls and butter, lemonade, unsweetened tea, water, and a choice of two desserts! Yum! All fresh food! No processed foods!

Our dining experience was amazing! The food was delicious, and the service was superb—very friendly and helpful staff. It was truly an exceptional experience, and all 50 people in our group enjoyed it. We will definitely return on our next trip to the area!

The dining experience is designed for groups of 20 or more and requires advance reservations. Guests are seated at long communal tables and served a variety of Pennsylvania Dutch dishes, including fried chicken, baked ham, meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, brown buttered noodles, and green beans. Meals begin with rolls and coleslaw and conclude with two in-house-made desserts.
The restaurant operates on a fixed menu basis, offering an “Amish Family-Style Menu” from January to October and a “Holiday Feast Menu” in November and December. Beverages such as iced tea, lemonade, water, coffee, and hot tea are included.
For those not part of a large group, the adjacent Smokehouse BBQ & Brews offers a more casual dining option with a menu featuring smoked meats, local craft beers, and traditional Lancaster County favorites.
Overall, Plain & Fancy Farm Restaurant provides a unique opportunity to experience Amish-style communal dining in a setting that reflects the cultural heritage of Lancaster County.

This was my families go to restaurant , we did dine in mostly, sometimes join a table for family style. Since Covid we were told they only take bus tours. We can’t do dine in or join a group anymore and directed to a BBQ place next door that has nothing of the meals we always enjoyed. We miss the food, atmosphere and service, it was always excellent. We drove from over an hour away to eat here and take go meals so we have leftovers each time. Please bring back dine in menu!

They should change their Google sites. It used to be family style diner years ago when I lived in Maryland… Well, I drove over 4 hours to get family style dinner with my husband from New Jersey because it showed it was still available. They only serve family style for a party of 20 and more. Now, it is just a regular bbq restaurant, nothing more, nothing to go out of the way for; VERY disappointed. The food was just OK.

October 3rd I was there with my Sister and Her Husband. We sat down and we had ordered.
The waiter brought the meals to or table and as he gave me my chicken He asked if I had wanted gravy as well I see yes and He kept his finger on the gravy boat. The complete Grave Boat poured on my pants. I took the few napkins that were in the table an unsure if anybody was coming over to help me. I had been having difficulty walking but had to go to the restroom to try to clean the hot gravy. The waiter left the hot gravy on the floor. The waiter stopped waiting on our table except to bring the bill. Not a good experience!

The staff were amazing. The food was not good. Mashed potatoes tasted same as instant flakes from a box. Green beans over cooked and soggy, it tasted same as canned string beans that get over heated. The grill layer on fried chicken shows the oil was not hot enough. The meatloaf was okay, but not a reason for me to go back.

Years ago it was a great place. Now not so much . Our group sat down to a family style dinner, Not enough food for the whole table the staff tried to serve all the tables at one time . Instead of serving one table at a time making sure all the guests had their food. And serve hot if something ran out other food was cold . The service should serve one table at a time. The salads was pre set enough for one person. . Only. 2 server They did to work smarter not harder
