Wasn’t sure what to expect. Happened to go in one day that it was a bit dead inside but I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! Be sure to get the shrimp. Either the poboy or the fried shrimp plate. Perfect.

I have been living in and out of the area for years and never stopped by. Well yesterday was the day to stop. The food and service was horrible. The fish was fried way too hard and had no seasoning on anything. My husband had the fish and I had baked Tilapia and veggies. Neither of them had seasoning. The Tilapia was so hard that I could not eat it. We ended up paying over $50 for the meals and walked out. I would suggest not dropping in. Also there was one staff member working the bar and tables. She also said that she was assisting with cooking as well. I am assuming the Asian lady was the owner or Supervisor. She had two kids (boy/girl) coming in and out of the kitchen.

I have come to the boat many of times and every time it is always good hospitality, food, and service. The Rita’s are really good and will get you thereee omg! The Food be spicy, well cooked, and good quality for the prices.

Went in on a Saturday around noon. Service was great. They were nice and polite. The egg rolls we ordered were really good a little on the greasy side, seems like they came straight of the fryer and straight into the takeout box. The shrimp fried rice however lacked flavor and parts of the rice were burnt. It was a lot of good and did smell good it wouldn’t of been so bad if it wasn’t $30 for both.

Very good Vietnamese food. Also a nice variety on the menu. Service is good and wait staff is friendly. Dining area is keep clean. The boat section of the restaurant is shaped and inclined as if in a boat. Definitely eat there again.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this place food was nasty.
We order 6 different plates and non of them were good. Not enjoyable food.WASTE OF MONEY
Spring rolls (fishy) peanut sauce (worst one)
Vermicelli (tasted just like pepper and extream salty)
Rice pork plate( salty not good charc meat)
Lomein (vegetables good) (steak bad)
Catfish( dry)
Chicken nuggets (no flavor)
Only good thing was the fries.

My Aunt brought me to Hempstead to this place for the first time. I really enjoyed it . I got the seafood boil and it was the right kind of spicy for me and the shrimp were HUGE❗❗and I got a blackberry Margarita..SOOOO Delicious … Then I tasted my Aunts fried shrimp and OOHEEMMGEEE.

The place is disgusting! Roach infested and they wont do anything About the problem. Multiple food poisoning from people. They spray the roach spray around open food while customers are there and the owners are very racist.
They openly let children run through the bar area. It always has a sour smell. The food is not fresh nor is it cooked when order, some orders are reused, even a day later. Especially the boiled shrimp.

It is not required by law for you to pay the gratuity!!! Especially if you are not happy with service or meal. The gratuity is for the tip and because business has been slow that have tried to make you tip pretty much. By law as customer if you do not want to pay the gratuity they are to take that part off!!!
I wasnt there to take these pictures myself. They were sent to me by workers there! Be careful when posting your honest reviews cause you will have one worker there thats barely hanging on to life that will harass you to no end.

First time eating at the boat and the food was great. It was busy the time me and my girlfriend went in so It took about 5 mins until we had some service but it about typical when a restuarant is busy. We both enjoyed the sea food we ordered. The 2 catfish with shrimp and hush puppies. It’s a great place to take your family and friends to get some good seafood or Vietnamese food in the Hempstead area.
