Tierra Verde Stays
Sushi Rock Grill in the entrance of Tierra Verde is an absolute gem! The variety on the menu is great… there’s something for every taste, from creative specialty rolls to perfectly fresh classics. Each dish is packed with flavor, beautifully prepared, and you can tell the sushiman puts real pride into every plate.
On top of the amazing food, the service was great. Our server, Steve, was attentive and welcoming. The whole team was friendly, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for delicious sushi with top-notch service in Tierra Verde/St Pete Beach area, Rock Sushi is the place to go. Can’t wait to come back!

Ordered for take out and the customer service we received was great. My girlfriend has a gluten allergy and because of that we had to swap from imitation crab to salmon. An upcharge that I was willing to pay with no problem. Upon opening the food back at our house there was NO salmon. Not only in the one we upgraded but somehow the roll that should have already had salmon got downgraded to imitation crab. So I essentially paid for an up charge for no reason and on top of that my girlfriend couldn’t eat her dinner. Don’t go here if you have an allergy. Restaurant needs to do better

Everyone has that one little go to place that never lets you down. This is ours. We have been coming to this place for quite some time. The entire staff is friendly and have the menu memorized. Our guy is Steve, he knows us and takes very good care of us. He has the unique ability to suggest different menu items based on our previous meals and he is always spot on. The food here is a constant, meaning it’s the same each and every time. The dining area is spotlessly clean always! The atmosphere is warm and accommodating. The prices are very reasonable. Just glad that they are just down the street from us. You really don’t have to travel far in order to enjoy five star dining. You’ll be coming back, for sure. Keep up the good work, Sushi Rock Grill!

We ordered takeout at Sushi Rock Grill. We liked the variety of Asian dishes to choose from. This time we ordered the Sushi Jo (chef’s choice), lollipop roll, ebi nigiri, and beef pad khee mau. The rolls were fresh and the noodles were flavorful. Probably a little too much food for the both of us! Next time, we’ll dine in.

We made a 7:30 PM reservation at this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We were a group of nine family members and friends and arrived about seven minutes after our reservation time.
The receptionist greeted us and said our server would take us to our table. When the server approached us, the first thing that came out of her mouth was, “You are late! We almost gave your table away.” Her name, I believe, was Annie. You can imagine how the rest of the night went from here.
We were seated on a long table for the 9 people.
Throughout the evening, she was rude unprofessional and impatient. She wanted nothing more than to go home.
After ordering a few appetizers which were good that arrived quickly, she returned to take our sushi order and made a point of saying, “There are many people ahead of you for sushi,” despite the restaurant being small with only a few tables. We chose not to let this ruin the celebration and proceeded to order two of six different sushi rolls, two of each, so they could be shared between the two tables.
We waited patiently, and at 8:55 PM our order finally arrived. 1 hour and 10 minutes after our appetizers arrived!. All twelve sushi rolls were crammed onto a single plate and placed between the two tables. It was nearly impossible to remove the sushi without it falling apart, and guests seated on the sides could not reach the plate at all. This was an extremely inconsiderate way to serve a large group.
It was not possible to place any more orders as they close the kitchen at 9PM.
Unfortunately, the sushi itself was disappointing, the presentation was poor, and the service was below the most basic standard and demonstrated clear lack of accountability.
This was meant to be a special birthday celebration, but the experience was a disaster. I would strongly advise thinking twice before making a reservation here.

Love the friendly staff and the amazing FRESH food. Good banter with the best head chef and servers, family like feel once you get to know everyone. Always a great time here! Compliments to the owners and managers for having the right CREW!

Did a spontaneous dinner for my family here tonight. Loved it! Service was excellent, food came out fast and it sits right on a beautiful pond. They have regular beers and quite alot of sake to choose from drink-wise. So far, best sushi in the area for me! A must try!!!!!

I’ve been enjoying Sushi Rock Grill for a very long time. Anytime I’m in the area I always make sure to stop by and enjoy their creations.
I had the Sushi Nachos and the Volcano Lobster. I also enjoy The Pear chilled sake.
