We paid for two persons around $70. We highly recommend this place!
The short: a beautiful spot to eat with subpar service and middling, drastically overpriced food.
The long: our food took nearly 45 minutes to arrive, despite less than a quarter of the tables being occupied. We ordered two hamburgers, lobster mac and cheese, and a grilled chicken pita.
The $35 lobster Mac contained what looked to be boxed pasta and small pieces of lobster, with thin-looking cheese sauce.
My order, the OG burger, was worse than unimpressive. What was meant to be a “smash burger” was pretty clearly an un-smashed(?) patty, not dissimilar to the frozen ones we’d grilled at a BBQ the night before. The “special sauce” was missing entirely and the patty itself was overcooked and dry. The most flavorful things on the burger were the onions. I dumped some of the ketchup that came with my fries onto the burger. I have had much better burgers at fast food restaurants. The shoestring fries were crisp and well-salted, which was a plus.
The chicken pita was okay.
Unless you’re just coming here for a few drinks and a beautiful view, avoid it.
$8 for an espresso was a record price that I have seen in the US.
The best thing on the menu are the fresh juices which are $12. The rest of our orders were relatively disappointing. A $34 Greek salad with shrimp (one of the few lighter things) consists of a small bowl of mostly greens and 4 cold shrimp on the side taken straight from shrimp cocktail, for example. And waitstaff is aloof and doesn’t know the menu. Our waiter was nowhere to be found most of the time and told us the shrimp on the salads comes grilled. It seems they hire based on looks alone.
Maybe breakfast is better here but you have to order before 11am. However, our $250 lunch for 3 without any alcoholic drinks was a total miss. At least valet parking (the only option) is free.
Please bring on a better chef and staff for such a high end establishment.
We had to ask for refills on coffee and water and were told to be patient. We waited but no one came to refill our cups. We asked three times before we had to flag down someone else to refill the cups.
While we both enjoyed the breakfast buffet food (variety and quality), we refuse to come back because of the service.
Seriously – our server didn’t even clear our table, thank us for dining, offer us refills. This was way below minimum expectations.
