My wife and I went there on the grand opening weekend, when the restaurant was only open for breakfast (they are waiting for their liquor license for dinner). It was their second day in business. She had the crepes and I had the waffles. We both found the food to be excellent. The waffles were the best I have ever had, better even than my homemade from scratch recipe. We found them so good, we shared their omelet for “dessert”. It was also excellent. We will return soon when they open for dinner. And the service was great too.

This is my mother-in-law’s favorite place and so our go to “special occasion” spot, but on a recent visit, for her birthday, she and her two friends dining with us complained about something with each course. The waiter seemed new and unfamiliar with the menu and the bartender was slow to serve the restaurant patrons because those seated at the bar were overly demanding. (We were seated close enough to hear them repeatedly interrupt him while he prepared our drinks.) With reservations for 6:30 pm we were not allowed to order the rack of lamb because they had a large party of 14 coming in later in the evening. So no one else can order lamb in case they want it? We’d already had our table request changed to accommodate this party.
Two of our party ordered seafood risotto which the menu indicated included cod, but salmon was served. That’s actually a HUGE substitution, and salmon is disliked by all in our party. The mixed grills were noted as “unsatisfying” for the price, and my shellfish dish was overly salty and a bit over cooked.
The brownie sundae was served with ice cream that seemed more ice “milk-y”. Maybe a low fat or just low quality ice cream?
I used to just nitpick this restaurant because it doesn’t seem to know if it’s French, Spanish, Italian, whatever and often has typos or odd food terms on the menu, but the service and quality have gone down hill.

The best meal I’ve had in months. Lamb was amazing, perfect scallops and the lobster risotto was like nothing I’ve ever had. Fresh oysters, and great tiramisu.

Loved the service and attention to detail, you can tell they really care. If/when I come back to the cape, I will make it a point to come back here – best meal of the trip by a landslide.

Thank you guys!

Always spectacular! Great service, nice ambiance & consistently delicious food. Our daughter is a vegetarian, I’m gluten free, my husband eats everything, and all 3 of us love Celestinos. It’s challenging to find chefs on the Cape who can cook either vegetarian or GF meals, Chef Juan excels.

We’ve been eating here regularly since they first opened in this area, and have never had a bad meal. We recommend everything! It’s always so fresh and beautifully served; soups, salads, apps, seafood, lamb, deserts. Enjoy!

Had heard lots of positives. Had reservation Saturday at 700. Were seated promptly. Great buzz in room.
Took awhile to order, then forever (45 min) for first course to arrive. No apology; no extra bread; nothing.

Had scallops–over cooked and strangly flavored. Spouse had lamb, not MR, but medium.

Not sure I’ll be willing to try again.

This was our second time dining here. I really was not enthusiastic about returning. I’m glad I did.
Food is quite good. Service leaves a lot to be desired. Both times it seemed as if it was the servers first night.
But as I said the food was delicious.

As a Falmouth year round resident we have been to just about every upscale restaurant the Cape offers.
Celestino’s is excellent, beats many of Boston’s best.
Chef Jun is incredible, even greets you personally prior to ordering. A real find.
Try the lamb…

I ordered steak tips & scrambles eggs with rye toast. Rye toast was disappointing. Not the old Jewish rye but the rye with swirl. Eggs were rolled in on grill after steak tips were cooking. Eggs looked dirty and dry. Suggest cooking them separate and adding the steak tip on top of nice fluffy scrambled eggs. Menu looked good. I just picked a loser.

Went here with a group of 7. Service was great, menu was fantastic- I could have ordered almost anything on the menu. Everyone in the group ordered different entrees and every single one was delicious!! Drinks were also great. Definitely coming back!
