My third time here in a month. Just found this place and my BBQ lover friends I’ve brought with me have raved about the chicken and brisket. I’ve never had better BBQ chicken. So tender and juicy and the brisket falls apart. The Mac and cheese has a little kick and very tasty as well. The corn bread could use some butter. My friend said the collared greens are some of the best she’s ever had. Definitely recommend the brisket and chicken, Mac and cheese and collared greens!

As someone who proudly considers himself a BBQ addict, I’ve crisscrossed this country tasting the best—and suffering through the worst—BBQ out there. Prime BBQ falls somewhere in the middle of that spectrum. They’re not knocking it out of the park yet, but I respect that they’re giving it an honest shot.
I ordered the brisket, and while it had decent flavor, it was a bit overcooked and tasted like it had been sitting for a couple of days. That’s not uncommon—most BBQ joints batch-cook early in the week—but there are definitely ways to store and hold meat better to keep it moist and tender. Plenty of great videos and tutorials out there on how to get it right.
On the sides, the collard greens were solid—well-seasoned and cooked just right. The slaw, however, was a miss for me. I prefer a creamy slaw, and this one was overly thick and pasty. As for the Texas toast, it was the same stuff you find in the freezer aisle. C’mon, folks—if you’re going to do it, do it right. Fresh-baked or grilled bread would go a long way toward elevating the meal.
My suggestion? Focus on a smaller menu with sides you truly specialize in. Quality over quantity will solve 90% of the complaints I see in other reviews. I’m rooting for this place, and with a few tweaks, they could definitely climb the BBQ ranks.

I ordered for my work on Saturday 1/11 and it was so good! EVERYONE was in love with the brisket. I didn’t get to try any it went so fast. The bbq chicken was awesome. Juicy, not super spicy not super sweet, no overpowering smoke flavor. Only complaint from everyone was that the sides that came with it could have been bigger portions. But we’re definitely adding this to the regular rotation for Saturday lunches.

Ordered rib tips, smoked chicken wings, greens, Mac and cheese, and potato wedges the sauce for the ribs get the two stars, the service was good, and it was fast, but the chicken wings they were big and DRY! The greens taste like they were cooked in str8 hot sauce water, the Mac and cheese was flavorless and the potato wedges were dry and not seasoned! NOTHING had seasoning! $45 wasted! Do not recommend!

My first time I went there the food was pretty good.but the second time I went they rushed on my food ribs was super tough and chard and the French fries we’re soggy. Was very disappointed because it was late and I was really hungry. I end up ordering ribs ,a half chicken ,fries, and garlic toast. Also did not like the taste of the chicken.

Decided to try this spot yesterday, the food wasn’t bad The chicken wasn’t as flavorful but it wasn’t dry that’s a plus. The bbq ribs were meaty and smoked pretty well but could’ve used a little more seasoning. The Cajun rice wasn’t good it was undercooked… The service was good the young lady working the front counter was very nice and attentive..
