Really liked this place. Food was excellent, even better than I had anticipated. Just good flavors & textures. I recommend the house spicy chicken. Service was spot on, not too present but not too distant. Atmosphere was what I would expect for any Chinese restaurant.
What was funny was that we were one of 4 separate groups of fathers with their daughters in the restaurant & we were the only customers. It was as if it were “take your daughters out for Chinese food” night in Vernal, UT. I felt like I was in good company at least. Lol.

I was craving orange chicken. Real orange chicken. I took a chance here at Canton City and…kapow! Or should I say Kung Pao!! Simply the best Chinese meal I’ve had in my life hiding right here in Vernal. I started with the egg drop soup — perfection in a little bowl. Next, the pot stickers appetizer. Sadly I inhaled and enjoyed these so fast I failed to take a photo. In my defense I skipped breakfast and was too busy for lunch, so I was starving. These are fresh made, and the dipping sauce was, well, after my first bite I expected Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker to explode onto the scene! Authentically, amazingly, divinely delicious. Next I ordered the orange chicken dinner! This was accompanied by fresh chicken chow mein with all kinds of vegetables, a fresh egg roll, a breaded shrimp, and fresh ham fried rice. A celebration of flavors. In. Every. Single. Bite. No seriously. I must add on a huge kudos to the proprietors for be willing to serve iced tea… With Chinese tea! Why is this so difficult? I don’t know, but this too is a thing I always ask for and never find. And here it is, the perfect exclamation point to a superb meal. So if you find yourself craving Chinese, get your pot stickers in here. Now! You won’t be disappointed.

For being in a small city this place was pretty good, ordered the plain noodles, side of orange chicken and S/S pork.

Reasonable price for good food. We had combo plates that includes soup for 14.90, main dish + ham fried rice + chicken chow mein + fried shrimp + egg roll. With the price of dinner out so high, I think it us a great price! The lady that waited on us was super sweet too.

@RussFlaniken, I’ve been a customer of Canton City Restaurant for over 20 years, and I can confidently say it’s an absolute gem. It’s a menu restaurant, and they don’t serve sushi. There is no food sitting on ice—everything is handled with care and freshness. The restaurant is always clean, the food is consistently delicious, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. This place isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a true staple of our community.

Stopped in to have dinner the other night . There were way too many issues to list . 1st of all you do not leave sushi out in the open air til it’s crusty and expect it to taste let alone look appealing. Also it was sitting in what I assume used to be ice but was complete melted . The whole food serving area was so gross and dirty that I ended up not even making me a plate of food and walked out . If people haven’t gotten sick from this place, I’d be surprised . Really disappointing visit and I most likely will not be back which is unfortunate because I love Asian food.

We love coming here. Our favorite is the Wor Won Ton Soup. Portions are big enough to split. The staff is always friendly.

I’m from out of town and I asked two locals where I should eat for dinner, and this was the only place they both mentioned–I can see why. After a cold day driving through the mountains, warm Chinese food really hit the spot. Great food, friendly staff. I’d recommend to anyone visiting Vernal

Excellent. Plenty big portions! My sesame chicken was served hot and fresh. We arrived a little after 3 pm but they let us order from the lunch menu no problem.

Very clean, appears to be family owned and ran. Friendly attentive staff. EXCELLENT deep fried pot stickers! I had the beef and broccoli. It needed a little more seasoning for me personally but it was tender, crispy fresh vegetables, and the rice was cooked just right. I’ll be back again.
