Marc is a heck of a waiter. He bought my Gram and I’s dessert after he misspoke over the Tiramisu offering (after we protested and said it was fine).

The Osso Buco here doesn’t play. It’s massive and could be split among 2 people. Gram was overloaded, and even I couldn’t finish it off.

I had a Bison Ribeye. It was tender and delicious. I had to add a lot of table salt, but my guess is that may have something to do with the older demographic.

The Sweet Potato waffle fries here are straight gas. Crispy and delicious with a sweet-salty blend. Amazing stuff.

Capped off with a strawberry shortcake tiramisu. It made for a great meal in Deadwood.

I really liked this place…I thought it was going to be a dissapointing as we arrived close to dinner opening so the were getting organized out of the gate but our server Sara was great! We tried the fried Bison Ravioli appetizer and it was excellent! Salas was served family style and we liked that too. My wife had the Ribeye and loved it… I had the pheasant pasta and it was delicious! We are happy we picked this place!

Awesome place for lunch and dinner if you enjoy the history of Deadwood or some cowboy atmosphere.

The steaks I’ve ordered here have fatty bits that are quite chewy and not fully rendered with the steak as they should be, but overall are slightly above average.

Prices are mildly high, but service was amazing, as our host / waitress Mailene was wonderful in every way, bringing attentiveness and humor to our table. She very much made our anniversary dinner a special one, and she deserves all the kudos possible.

Look forward to eating here a couple times a year, but that won’t be the case no more. New menu changed as of 12/26/25. I always get the smoked pheasant pasta. It’s the best! They no longer have that on the menu so I ordered shrimp scampi instead, noodles come out served luke warm, very small portion and not very flavorful. Asked waitress if was served in a creamy Alfredo sauce it she said it was, it was served in oil instead. Son ordered salmon was again served warm at best and very fishy tasting. Wife ordered bison ravioli, bison meat was good but the sauce was like ragu, nothing special. Daughter order chicken chef salad and said that was pretty good. Service was extremely slow, took over 1.5 hrs from check in to food arriving. Ordered soup, it never did arrive. Is this place under new management or what? If so thumbs down.

Had the bison ravioli and the power bowl.

No issues with the ravioli, it was fine. The power bowl was terrible. Cleared the table before entree and didn’t bring out silverware with it, so sat for 5 mins waiting for silverware after food came out as well. Not sure if it was the sauce or combo of veggies.

Atmosphere was cool. Would probably come back to try other stuff/ they had a super wide drink selection!

Before I go on any trip I usually research places to eat that have great reviews. This place had great reviews and did not disappoint! Definitely recommend. All of it was great! We orders the Fried Bison Ravioli for an appetizer. Definitely worth trying. So good and unique! We also ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and Black and Blue Bison Burger. Both entrees were very tasty. I really don’t think you can go wrong with anything on this menu. The staff were also very nice here too!

My husband and I went for supper for my Birthday, we both ordered the ribeye cooked medium,it came out so fast we didn’t have time to eat our appetizers or salad and when I cut into mine it was rare and cold inside,so was my husband’s! We sent it back and of course we know a steak that is re-fired id not going to be juicy and as good, thing that made me kinda mad is they didn’t even offer anything off on a 50 dollar apiece steak!! Our service was awesome though

We had an incredible experience at the Social Club! We didn’t expect everything to be so good! We chose to go there because it was one of the only places in Deadwood with a vegan option, but our non vegan friends liked it so much, they came back with us the second day!

The harvest bowl was an awesome vegan option. Veggies and grains with a delicious cashew sauce, baked sweet potatoes, and falafels with hummus were ridiculously good! Our friends had steak and walleye, and burgers with fries, and of course they were all delicious as well.

Mike, our server was so good, and they were great about informing us about what was in good and adjusting for our diet. We loved it so much and will definitely go back again!

Had a reservation at the Social Club Deadwood — lucky us!
First we got seated right next to the restroom (because who doesn’t love the aroma of public toilets with dinner?), and when we dared to ask for another table, the older tattooed hostess made sure we felt the inconvenience. She slammed the menus on the table without a single word. Charming.

Thankfully, our actual waiter was the opposite: friendly, asked how we were doing — probably noticed we were still trying to digest the welcome.

The food? Stellar.
• Bison ribeye was beautifully charred outside, perfectly medium rare inside, melt-in-your-mouth tender.
• Asparagus crisp and full of flavor.

Summary:
If you can survive the warm Deadwood hospitality at the door, you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic steak. Bring a sense of humor.

Food:
Food was okay, nothing to write home about. Espresso martinis were stout and good.

Service:
Waited to be sat at a table while the hostess played on their phone. Server was okay, but wouldn’t think we would have to ask for silverware at a restaurant.

Atmosphere:
Neat historic building with old photographs detailing history of Deadwood.
