Reviews
The restaurant is right across from the Wolf and serves very good Japanese food. They serve a full Japanese menu snd not just sushi and rolls. They also have lunch specials.

In the two experiences we’ve had here, we’ve tried nearly 10+ dishes and none of them were disappointing and all incredibly tasty. We’ve ordered from the noodle soups, ramen, curry rice, sushi, and appetizers and all deliver a flavorful, yet comforting experience.
Although I hesitate to say it’s 100% authentic, the flavors match our expectation and the quality sometimes exceeds that of Japanese-run establishments. Here’s what we’ve had and what I recommend:
Ebi fry curry (add chili!), nabeyaki udon (try with curry too), tempura udon, dynamite roll, okonomiyaki (delicious), and chicken karaage. I can’t personally speak for the ramen, but our table has always enjoyed the meal and left with full stomachs.
Inte initial review – 2 of us went for a late lunch today (2pm). Saw this place opened about 3 months ago and it’s pretty crowded around lunch time (maybe 1-2 open tables).
Overall, VERY GOOD and glad to have them in the area/nearby!
Nice clean space for lunch, friendly service AND reasonable prices with decent/good portion size. Best of all, some very good food prep/taste.
Our fav was the shrimp & vegy tempura appetizer. Arrived freshly made/HOT. The tempura was excellent – thin, light, crispy, not thick and gummy. The 2 shrimps were large AND great that there were 6-7 pieces of different vegies (carrot, green bean, broccoli, taro, sweet potato, zucchini) that were perfectly cooked (not mushy/over cooked). We would def get this again!
We both had the bento box lunch specials ($15.99, lots of choices, some have are +$1-2 (e.g. teriyaki beef, spicy tuna roll, saba fillet). Really liked the salted grill saba – moist, not dry, tastes great!
The spicy tuna roll was also very good – NICE to see a nice/whole chunk of tuna in the middle (see pic), not tuna mashed up like mashed potato at some places when you order a spicy tuna roll (makes you wonder about tuna quality when they mash it up like that). Would def get this again!
On the other hand, the teriyaki beef and wakame soba we might not get again. The sauce on the beef was tasty/great, and the beef was nicely cooked/tender, BUT we didn’t like that it had a fair amount of fat/tendon etc. I prefer my soba al dente, this was a bit too soft, and the broth a bit mild (maybe good during the winter months, or if you have cold/flu and want something hot).
Welcome to the area and keep up the good work!
The food was voted excellent by 2/3 of us. The Japanese curry was a bit lackluster compared to the Ramen and Okinamiyaki. The cold sake was delicious. If the curry had any heat to it, we would have rated this restaurant 5 stars. I’ve never had Japanese curry that had no possible spicy heat variations until this week.
