Firehouse Subs never disappoints! The subs are always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients. The bread is perfect, the portions are generous, and the menu has something for everyone. The staff is friendly, fast, and makes you feel welcome every time. I also love that they support first responders—it makes supporting this business even better. Highly recommend stopping here if you want a great sub and great service!

I was there to pick up a order.. fist off the manager was on break in his phone watching videos and that to me was to loud, second his workers were struggling to get orders out, in my opinion as a manager which I have been no break should’ve been taken if your workers are struggling, that’s the part of managing.. ok so I waited about 25 mins to get my order..customer were coming in and being told there order couldn’t be taken at the time and it would be a 20 minute wait .. no one should be told that at a fast food restaurant, everything about this experience was horrible, was also told it was because they had a buy one get one free sub promotion going on.. I don’t care if it was a buy one get 5 free!!! Be prepared do better this shouldn’t be like this very very disappointed!!

Please just close this location…. at least for a while to do some refresher training. Training needs to be completed with the staff as a whole. The professionalism, customer service and common courtesy has completely went out the door and let’s not forget the value of the product has decreased!!! The toaster STILL being broken and the rudeness of the staff is unacceptable. I came here yesterday for Veterans Day (11/11/25) for my free meal and to purchase 2 others and of course like always, it is always a problem. This time it’s a sign on the door saying they cannot do the promotion. However, they act like they didn’t want to serve us at all. Makes no sense. This place clearly does not want to make money and they definitely do not represent the hard work and support for firefighters for which Firehouse was started to begin with. This location has forgotten that and it’s shameful. Corporate definitely needs to come and have someone get this location in to shape or allow someone else to take over the space.

The employees at this location are always so kind and professional. They make delicious food and have a much better attitude and environment than the Newport News location. Would much rather make the drive to Hampton for their exceptional customer service and positive atmosphere!!

I placed an order on the Firehouse app and waited for it for quite some time. Went into the store and they advised me that they could not provide my order because they had no gluten-free bread on hand. I asked for a refund and they told me that I would have to obtain that on the app. There is nowhere on the app to cancel the order and I have attempted to call Firehouse main number or customer service issue number and I receive a message that their phones are out of service or something’s wrong in regards to contacting them. I just want you all to know you might not get your money back if you order on the app

The sandwich was not made correctly and the bread was burned and not horrible. And then to top it off, when you call the phone number that’s online, it’s attached to somebody’s voicemail.That’s not connected.I call the suffolk, virginia location and they were unhelpful at all.So when you go to firehouse, sub expect to get a nasty sandwich, expect not to be able to complain to anyone about it or get what you pay for. Food is horrible and the service is even worse.

I ordered from the Firehouse Subs app and had a great experience! I recommend getting toppings that hold moisture, like lettuce and tomatoes, on the side if you’re not eating right away to keep the bread from getting soggy. If you’re eating immediately, definitely get them included—so fresh and tasty! The wait was short, and the employee went above and beyond by bringing my order outside without me even asking. That’s top-tier customer service! The bread was perfectly cooked—soft, fresh, and delicious—and the amount of meat given was generous. Highly recommend!

Manager was openly complaining about customers coming in to eat at 8pm. Was using profanity and being very inappropriate. While the staff were preparing our food he was just sitting at a table playing games on his phone. The food was great but the manager and vibes were terrible.

Will never visit this place for take out again. Got home and it is like they took the dressing and dumped it all over the outside of our subs. The messiest subs I have ever seen. Tried to call but you cannot talk to anyone all the phone system wants to do is text you a email address to send a email. Probably because they get so many complaints. If I can’t talk to a person on the phone about an order issue, I’m not doing business with your company again.
