This is a great place to come if you want some fresh fish! Very cute and homey, with plenty of tables and booths. Part of the restaraunt is a fish counter where you can buy uncooked fish and the other part is a restaraunt.
We split the Manhattan clam chowder and the sword fish special. I’m not a clam chowder person but my husband is and he likes it, warning it has bacon in it. The sword fish was excellent, huge big piece of succulent fish cooked to perfection on a bed of mixed root vegetables. The sauce was light and bright and a perfect pairing. The coleslaw was crispy and fresh and not too much mayo.
Wait service was excellent and super friendly. Would definitely come back.

I’ve always kind of wondered about what the food was like here. I knew everybody always says it’s expensive. The price is kind of like fine dining. You’re going to spend at least $50 a person. The atmosphere is not really on level with the prices on the menu. But that’s okay because you’re there for the food. It’s not an intimate dining experience. One of the pictures is of the shrimp cocktail which I was very disappointed in how it was presented. The shrimp were okay, nothing incredible. The cocktail sauce was perfect. The next two dishes were lump meat crab on linguine and the other dish was shrimp and scallop scampi with linguine. Both of these dishes work really well prepared and tasty with generous portions. We did not order dessert. Our server was friendly and fun. We will return for another meal.

An old gem tucked in Denville – great food and well worth the price compared to other cities (we live in Morristown) and would gladly make the commute for the Lemon Sole any day of the week. Staff is attentive. Small dining room.

Nice seafood restaurant with a lot of fish options unlike the many restaurants in U.S. which calls themselves seafood restaurant mostly have crabs and oysters. We tried broiled Arctic char and broiled swordfish. Both were very good and prices are reasonable compared to portion sizes.. Don’t hesitate to try if you are looking for seafood dinner or lunch..

Everything was good, lobster tail was great just wish it wasn’t so small. We had the scallop scampi, lobster cocktail and the spicy mussels, the mussels were awesome. Scallops was a good amount. We also had the rice pudding and salted caramel ice cream.

While the room all the way in the back leaves much to be desired in terms of atmosphere, the food and waitress was excellent. Casey, was delightful and very knowledgeable about the menu. She gave great recommendations and was a pleasure to talk to. The portions were massive! My wife and I rolled out of there very happy with our leftovers.

retail seafood establishment with a cafe attached. very warm and inviting atmosphere in the cafe and the server was friendly and enthusiastic, very sweet and accommodating to my elderly parents. the clams on the half shell were extremely fresh, briny and full of that wonderful flavor. steamers were every bit as good as you can get in Maine and the broth and butter were spot on. highly recommend if you enjoy seafood of any kind. i don’t think there’s much you wouldn’t be able to find on the menu which is extraordinarily extensive.

Fresh seafood every time. Great selections! Staff are friendly and helpful. I purchased 4 dozen clams and five lobsters recently for a backyard seafood fest and they were FANTASTIC! Prices are reasonable.
Highly recommended.

My son and I had a great experience. He is a picky eater and in particular doesn’t like fishy smelling seafood. I brought him here in the hopes to find a fish dish that will break his impression that all fish taste fishy.
The broiled scrod did it for him. He loved it. I had the broiled lemon sole dinner with cole slaw and double portion of broccoli. The chocolate lava cake was the perfect finish for the meal.
