If caffeine is life support for night shift workers, this Dunkin’ in Columbia, Tennessee is basically a trauma center with a drive thru and a pastry agenda.

I pull up looking like I’ve fought a raccoon and lost, order my usual hot coffee, and prepare to reenter society as a functioning human.

Window opens.
Adorable cashier.
Disney sidekick energy at DEFCON 1.

She smiles and asks, “Could I interest you in a muffin?”

Now listen carefully: muffins are for morning people who have circadian rhythms and retirement plans. I am a night shift goblin fueled by caffeine, unresolved trauma, and gas station roller dogs that have seen things.

So I politely decline.

She shuts the window…

…and I swear to you, the air pressure changed.

You could SEE the disappointment radiating off the glass. Not customer service disappointment. Not mild sadness. I mean full emotional collapse like I personally unplugged her life support.

Then I see her through the window.

She does a tiny rage/motivation dance and mutters to herself like a coach trying to rally a team down by 30 in the Muffin Championship Finals.

At this point my brain goes:

Are they tracking muffin sales?
Is there a regional pastry leaderboard?
Will corporate repossess the sprinkle inventory if she doesn’t close?
Is this girl fighting for her pension right now?

The heartbreak was real.
The determination was violent.

So I knock on the window like a man trying to reverse the emotional damage he has caused and say, “You know what… give me a muffin.”

That window flew open like she just secured a multimillion dollar contract. She starts listing flavors at auctioneer speed and now I’m driving away with a blueberry muffin so elite it could end generational conflict.

I didn’t buy a muffin.

I saved a career.

Coffee: hot and life saving.
Service: emotionally manipulative in the best possible way.
Muffin: weaponized excellence.

If you want great coffee and to be psychologically outplayed by a muffin sales champion, this Dunkin’ is undefeated.

11/10 would fold under pastry pressure again.

This morning 10/6/25. I came for my morning coffee and breakfast of choice. I have came to Dunkin’ Donuts every single day sometimes twice a day for years. I have never been treated poorly. I even do large orders here twice a month for staff events. Even though it’s not even close to my work location I try to support the local businesses. After being treated today the way I was by the manager I will not continue. The cashier was kind and I still even tipped them but for the manager to sit there and continue to speak about me in a negative manner while I was still there as well was definitely not ok!!!!! Why are you mad at me because your system is messing up?? Telling me call them and find out what’s going wrong, that’s your job not mine instead of apologizing for the inconvenience. I’ve been in the industry for years and never gave even left a bad review on any business but I would never speak to or about a gust in that manner do what you can to make a guest happy next time!

This place is so inconsistent. Sometimes my drinks are great, sometimes they are trash. Doesn’t matter if I order the same thing every time or not. I tried to get something new today, ordered a ham and cheese croissant, it was served to me burnt. I’ve had them put cheese sauce on my bacon avocado toast, or forgot the bacon altogether. When I order snackin bacon it is either burnt or cold. I just really wish there was some sort of consistency and a higher standard of food they serve.

This Duncan Donuts isnt good at all. Went through this morning and ordered two breakfast sandwiches and two lattes, requested extra hot. Both drinks were extra cold and we had no napkins in the bags. Horrible service.. all employs should be fired!!!

There was a woman with no hair net standing by where the food is made drinking a mug of coffee & playing with her hair with gloves on. I was kind of appalled. Do better Dunkin. $5 for 10 munchkins with a side of hair isn’t something I’d like to partake in at 8am.

Not sure how a Dunkin Donuts can get one star, but it’s not this location.
Friendly service, short drive thru line.
Interior clean.

While traveling to Nashville last week we drove thru drive thru and leaves were covering curb and drive thru was too tight, couldn’t see curb due to leaves, damaged front right tire due to curb being covered! Now I have to get a new tire for donuts! Point is the drive thru is too tight and leaves were covering it!

Not sure why I even bother coming here sometimes. Every time something is missing or the food is very badly prepared (look at the “hashbrowns” lol) Not coming back, too expensive for garbage. Been disappointed too many times at this location.

This Dunkin is usually pretty good! However, at around 7 am I was just served a muffin so stale that it was nearly inedible, kinda like a foam brick. I understand that the employees may be overworked and underpaid, but at least check that you’re not serving muffins that have clearly been sitting out for several days. I hate to review badly, but this was thoroughly disappointing

The only negative is the 3 times I ordered something to be on an English muffin….they forgot all 3 times. Other than that….very friendly staff, clean facility tasty treats.
