This was my first experience in Millennium Cafe in the library.
I believe her name is Millie. Her interactions with everyone were super friendly.
The pastries and baked goods are homemade. The glass displays all of their tasty treats. I had the bread pudding on steroids. The sauce glaze was amazing.
Pro Tip: Let her warm it up for you.
They have a full-on kitchen in the library. This alone adds so much value. Watch my videos.
The coffee is my why. So, it was simply intriguing to see the names of the different varieties. So it was good.
They have a variety of drinks and teas. The menu is very nice. Just step back and take your time.
You can order breakfast and lunch here. Get your coffee or latte. You want a salad or a breakfast, Burrito . You want a sandwich or a Scone.
I could go on and on. All I can say is go see for yourself. The cafe definitely compliments the library.
I’m impressed, Topeka. This is a .

I’ve been coming to this cafe daily, mostly had good experiences with the employees but the owner is snippy and downright rude. Great service from the employees and alright food, but I will not be returning in the future after having a less than savory encounter with the woman with fake eyelashes.

New operators Tricia and Ryan Peterson of 2 Chefs Catering make delicious food! Start your morning off right with a scone and coffee, stop in for lunch or grab an afternoon treat.

I’ve had several dishes from the tacos to the spicy Asian chicken wraps and everything has been extremely delicious. They also have some of the best homemade giant cookies you’ve ever seen and my pick is the chocolate chip. And I really like the fact that everything is made in-house and is fresh. Their pricing is very competitive for the product they’re serving and the staff is friendly. Great place to stop in if you’re tired of the big food chains.

The service is wonderful & the server’s (lady w/red hair) suggestions were all delicious. Excellent coffee (choo choo blend): smooth & light- perfect for the afternoon. The Italian Wedding soup had great substantive meatballs (noodles were a little mushy, but it’s 3:00, so it’s unavoidable) with a little heat, and the fresh scone was cinnamony w/a crisp exterior & tender interior.

Located inside of the Topeka Shawnee County Library, this is a good place to grab a quick lunch or snack if you are working hard and the time gets away from you. I think the food here is a bit overpriced for what it is, but I’m chalking that up to the convenience factor of not actually having to leave the library to get some food. The food is pretty much what I would consider cafeteria food, and is just ok, but not really good or great. In my experience, the pastry options here have been better than the meal offerings.

I stopped in today have got two desserts to take home. When I later opened up the containers I noticed that the cherry pie was very old, not even red. I didn’t notice this in the display case. The carrot cake wasn’t much fresher. This is the first time I’ve experienced something like this. The cafe has always been better than this.

I’ve eaten here a few times; once for breakfast (the biscuit and gravy is darn tasty) and had soup the other times (also quite good).
What I question is the need for a public library to have a resteraunt inside the building. It’s bad enough that patrons are allowed to bring in McDonald’s and the like inside the library itself. Since when is serving food an essential part of a library’s service?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

The Millennium Cafe is located on the inside the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library (TSCPL). This is a casual cafeteria style restaurant. The food is from one of the best caterers in Topeka. Food includes big cinnamon rolls, scones, muffins, sandwich wraps, daily specials for breakfast and lunch/dinner, varieties of quiche, home-made soups and chili, fresh salads, cookies and delicious desserts, and signature coffee drinks. Coffee is PT’s. The Wednesday hamburger special is a must try. Simply delicious. If you arrive after 11:30 am and before 12:15 pm, anticipate that you will be waiting in line. This cafe is the meeting place for many small groups and downtown workers. This is really the busiest time, so if you arrive before or after this very busy time, you will have a nice meal in a friendly atmosphere at a very reasonable price.

The food is always freshly made, delicious and the staff is courteous and fun. The lasagna is amazing but the rhubarb pie (only available a short time during the summer!) is out of this world!
