Food was perfection. Fish fried PERFECTLY. Golden and crunchy but soft and flaky on the inside. Food didn’t have that nasty after taste you get when the oil needs to be changed. You could taste the freshness. Perfection i tell you. Place is very clean which for me is always a good sign of fire food to follow and it did not disappoint. Will definitely be back. And the owners were very kind. My mom used to own a soul food and Caribbean restaurant in Indianapolis prior to passing away, and being there made me feel like i was back in her restaurant. Thanks for the amazing service and food. Can’t wait to return.

I wish I would have took more pictures but let me tell you something. B’s shrimp was so tender and crisp and same with the catfish( extra well). Hushpuppy were on point!!! And probably the best ive have in a long time. Spaghetti was flavorful and just right dude. Took me back to child hood memories. Banana bread pudding thicc and rich might made ya wanna slap something! Staff was amazing and very personal love that type of service, made me feel right at home. All thier sauces are homemade i fussed with them all and all bangers.

Me and my Mom was looking to get some shrimp and seafood and stumbled across this place on google .. I looked at the menu and instantly thought “similar to jj’s but Ik they know better” and baby they DO. Food was ON POINT. Catfish was flavorful seasoned well tender and ACTUAL CATFISH NOT SWAI . Shrimp was seasoned very well tasted way better than a lot of fried seafood places in the city. Wings wasn’t small they were meaty sauces are all homemade and on point. Fries seasoned all reheat certified. Their spaghetti and dirty rice were extremely good too, homemade. No pictures to show because the food is gone but most importantly the service I received. Elizabeth and her Husband(the chef) made sure I had everything I paid for made sure the food was worth it and treated me with nothing but respect. The wait is 20 mins but your food will be fresh. Very kind & God fearing people . They gained a customer. We for sure will be coming back && sooner than they think too ..Looking forward to a Sunday meal with them. 12/10.

Elizabeth, the owner, is the SWEETEST! ❤️ First time trying here and everything was made super fresh and very delicious. Catfish nice and crispy and seasoned. Mac and cheese is perfection and so are the yams! Tried collard greens for the first time and they were soooo yummy. Everything about this place is good! 10/10 and will 1000% be coming back! First time here today, met the owners Kent and Elizabeth and they were awesome!! Took care of me right away, got me right with the best on the menu and gave me a banana pudding on the house!! Food is god dam delicious, cod nuggets 10/10, fries 10/10, banana pudding 1000/10 so dam good. I would recommend this place, coming back again!!! GET THE PUDDING

I saw so many great reviews about this place that I just had to try it and the reviews were absolutely true. This is a wonderful, family-owned business with warm hospitality that makes you feel welcome right away.
I ordered the shrimp with fries and coleslaw, and everything was delicious. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the fries were hot and crispy, and the coleslaw was fresh and balanced the meal perfectly. You can tell the food is made with care.
Don’t forget dessert! The peach cobbler is amazing, especially when paired with vanilla ice cream. It takes it to another level.
I’ll definitely be back on Sunday when they serve the mac & cheese, yams, and collard greens.
10/10 recommend.

I ordered the Catfish and wings, and let me tell you THEY WERE SO CRISPY!!! Every bite seasoned to perfection and u can hear every bite. And the Tartar sauce pairs perfectly with it.
You cant miss with the sides here, from either the fries, the spaghetti, the dirty rice and plenty more to choose from. And the banana pudding dessert was TO DIE FOR!
As soon as I walked in i was greeted.I felt the warmth and the love that the workers put into this soul food spot.
So to recap if you are in the Schaumburg area and looking for THE soul food spot look no further!! I cant wait to try the Sunday special. (Sucker for mac and cheese with greens)

Generally I only get the fried catfish…sometimes the coleslaw. Both delish. My hubby loves the fish (a tiny bit salty for me) but perfect for him..no complaints. Today we tried (corn muffins, greens, spaghetti, dirty riice, bananna pudding, hush puppies and coleslaw). To be short, the food IS good. Different levels of good…but ALL good. Nothing here I’d take back. But the bananna pudding ya’ll…I’m NOT a sweets person–I like my waistline too much–But IT’S Delicious! 9.5/10.
If I take away points…it’d have be solely because they sometimes close early and their phone doesn’t seem to work consistently, But Liz is a real professional and always makes up for it. Still it’s a small annoyance. Why not put ACTUAL HOURS of operation on your business door? Just asking.

There is nothing “Jumbo” about their jumbo shrimp. I was expecting the shrimp size on their advertisement. The food IS NOT generous portions. I received small curled up little seasoned shrimp, no where near JUMBO. With crust falling off almost undone taste. The banana pudding was HORRIBLE! The greens were unseasoned and the juice was spilled everywhere in the paper bag. $52.00+ for meal of two. I am sorry, the food not worth the overprice at all! I would not recommend B’s Shrimp and Fish. Two stars for trying. They stole our money, but that’s okay, we know not to ever return.
