Best Chinese restaurant in San Antonio—hands down!
I brought my wife here for her birthday yesterday and the service was absolutely phenomenal. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. They even surprised my wife with a jelly dessert for her birthday. I’m pretty sure the owner was there too—she personally offered us different dim sum dishes to try and even lit my wife’s birthday candle. We truly felt right at home.
The food was delicious across the board. Not a single complaint when it came to flavor or quality. We ordered several staple dim sum items like siomai, har gow, sticky rice, and soup dumplings—all fantastic. The crab and fish maw soup was perfectly seasoned and savory. And if you go, you have to try the BBQ platter. Every meat was great, but the crispy pork and duck were on another level.
We definitely won’t need to drive to Houston for great Chinese food anymore. Can’t wait to come back!

Tried this authentic Cantonese Restaurant for the very first time. Place was nice and clean. Our waiter, Suryadi did an awesome job. As you can see, we were hungry and had very little to bring back home. Our order consisted of BBQ Ribs, Egg Drop Soup, Yangzhou Fried Rice, Shrimp Fried Noodles, Stuffed Eggplant, and Red Bean Sesame Balls for dessert. Everything tasted amazing. We will be back with more friends.

We went there for late lunch. Everything we ordered was so good. Our server, Suryadi did excellent job explained the menu, since it’s our first time visit this restaurant. We like the taste of food. It was lightly seasoned but hit the spot. We like the price too. Definetely worth to try if you are in the area. And we will be back for sure

My wife and I stopped for lunch at Tasty Modern Asian Kitchen on the Inrerstate 10 access road near Wurzbach road on Monday in between doctor appointments in the medical center area. They normally have excellent lunch specials Monday thru Friday, but since it was a holiday that menu wasn’t avalible so we ordered from their regular menu. That worked out Great as well, especially since we had our favoite server Christy that day!! Their Dim-Sum choices are excellent so we started with a bowl of their wonderful egg drop soup which is enough for two so we got an extra bowl and shared. Next was an order of six potstickers that that we shared, they can be ordered steamed or fried, we ordered fried and they came out piping hot with a tasty dipping sauce, yum! We also got an order of two fried egg rolls to share they came out right from the fryer with another dipping sauce and were crispy and delicious. My wife ordered the fried chicken wings and I ordered the orange chicken. we shared both of these dishes as well. The wings came with a house blended sauce that was excellent with just the right amount of spicy heat and another bowl of sweet chili sauce that my wife enjoyed since it was not quite as spicy. The orange chicken was done just right as well, crispy but juicy with a great orange sauce that wasn’t overly sweet. Christy took excellent care of us the whole time we were there, she made us feel like we were her one and only table! The manager also stopped by several times to see if we were ok, she is also super nice. If you are in the Medical Center area this is a must visit spot, and even if you are not it is worth a drive. Even if you are passing through San Antonio on Intestate 10 it is an easy off and back on place for a Great meal and an opprotunity to relax befor continuing your journey. just take the Wurzbach rd exit coming from either direction. You will not be disappointed.

We had such a wonderful experience at this location! The food took a little while to get to us, but we went on a Sunday while they were having a performance for Chinese new year and the restaurant was quite busy. You could see the people bringing the food seemed a bit lost. Our server was very polite and kept checking on us and apologizing for the delay with the food. All the appetizers were delicious and our favorite main dish was the teriyaki chicken. The restaurant itself looks so gorgeous, an amazing spot for family dinner or a date night

The service was excellent, the food, not so much. Because our server was sweet and voluntarily discounted our bill by one meal when she saw that it went hardly uneaten, I was not going to leave a poor review unless it made me sick…so that I’m now leaving a review tells ya what happened.
Not one of the three meals we ordered was seasoned. My daughter’s shrimp was soggy, my pineapple fried rice was discolored and tasted like frozen vegetables, the onions had lost their flavor, the pineapples were hard. The lemon chicken had no seasoning to it and the sauce tasted like Lysol…had a lemon-chemical taste to it. This was the worst chinese food I have ever had. :/

For starters I like how clean this place is. As soon as you leave, they start cleaning your table and it smells extremely wonderful. The food is very authentic and delicious, I had the roasted duck vermicelli, we had the dim sum sweet custards and beef dumplings. Everything was freshly made and very delicious. Our waitress Bella was attentive and super friendly.

I recently went to Tasty with a friend and had such a great experience! The server was super friendly and made us feel really welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was flavorful and came out fresh and hot. Honestly, the portions are generous, so I would definitely recommend buying one plate and sharing if you’re going with someone. It’s the perfect amount and a great way to try different things. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Our family went to Tasty Chinese for lunch and had an incredible experience. We ordered the Peking duck, pork belly, and beef wide flat noodles — everything was amazing! My kids (ages 9, 7, and 2) loved it too, which says a lot.
Our waiter Ingra and the manager Sunshine were so friendly and kind — they made us feel like family. The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully served. This is definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for genuine Chinese cuisine and great service!
