Social Profile:

Popular casual bistro serving traditional French mains & desserts with house wines by the glass.

When I arrived, I had to queue outside for about 10 minutes. After that, I was asked to wait upstairs and spent another 5 minutes on the first floor before being seated. Unfortunately, the waiting didn’t end there. After sitting down, no one came to take my order for around 20 minutes.

Once I ordered, the starter arrived after about 30 minutes. In total, I waited nearly an hour from arrival to receiving food. There was also a gap of about 10 minutes between the starter, main course, and dessert. No bread or water was offered during the wait, which made the experience feel even longer.

The ambience by the window is actually very nice and pleasant, which makes the setting enjoyable. To be fair, the food itself was good and the prices were very reasonable. However, the service was disappointing. Some of the staff appeared unfriendly and unwelcoming, which affected the overall experience.

Because of the long waiting times and the service attitude, I don’t think I would visit again.

Very rarely do I give bad reviews when overseas, but this was a pretty bad experience. We ordered appetizers and entrees and the best part of the meal was literally the wine. Service was pretty bad, to the point where our food was given to the wrong table, and had they not said anything we probably would have waited even longer than we did.
The food was very underwhelming. We chose food based on recommendations as well as pictures on Google. Let me tell you, those pictures and what was served on our table, were two very different things.
I had even taken more “flattering” pictures when the food arrived, hoping it tasted better than it looked. But protein portion s seemed reduced, components of the dishes we’ve seen online were missed, my side of crisps looked like the left overs with some full pieces placed on top of the left over bits, and the food was bland.
Very disappointed, as a lot of locals have talked this restaurant up prior to us visiting. This restaurant was very high on our list and we had high expectations.
I’m not sure if they serve Canadians worse than locals, but I would lower my expectations if you’re a travelling tourist with high hopes.
Very disappointed

The price is really worth it, but the flavour is okay.. If you want to try affordable French food, this is the place! Highly recommend to make a reservation as the queue line is really bad, even when in not lunch/dinner rush!

Recommended dish:
1. Escargot — the sauce is reaaally good
2. Sliced Chicken — creamy mashed potato and sauce is good
3. Profiterole — really big portion

We had to wait a long time to get in, even though the prices are very reasonable. The food was okay – portions aren’t very big, but the dessert was excellent. We tried the profiteroles and a dessert with rum, and both were delicious. The main downside is how crowded and stuffy it feels inside – people are packed shoulder to shoulder, which makes it less comfortable.
Overall, good value for money and great desserts, but be prepared for long waits and a very busy atmosphere.

Nothing but praise for this place!
Amazing food, great service, extremely organized, affordable and overall fantastic.

We went there two days in a row ordering starters, main courses and desserts. Never disappointed.

I was surprise no wait at all compare to other reviews; however, it’s is still packed. I tried the pork shank with frites and duck confit; both absolute hits. Perfectly cooked, hearty, and satisfying, especially paired with a nice red wine. What really surprised me? The price is affordable for such quality! Generous portions that actually fill you up.

This wasn’t going to be on my list of places to
Go but 50k mostly positive reviews and lines around the block, I had to try it out. This is certainly not fine dining by any means but value and quality for money, I would certainly come back here often.

Giant portions. Cheap beer and wine. Everything way way better the it ever has to be. Definitely not a tourist trap either as plenty of locals were here as well.

The pork shank was absolutely amazing, and the crème brûlée was probably one of the best I ever had. It is noisy and crowded but I think that’s the charm. Thanks guys!

A must visit if you want to try french cuisine without spending too much money .
We tried the french soup,a quiche loraine which was cold unfortunately , beef bourguinion, steak with fries, and two desserts, profiterole and creme brulé.
All the plates were tasty, rather cheap and well portioned. All of these plates with two glasses of beer for just 50 euros.
The only disadvantage that although the restaurant wasn’t full , the service was a little slow

We were here many years ago doing a long queue, yesterday we were back with a reservation, queue outside was long as well, a part for a young lady impolite ( we were sitting at the first floor on the patio on the street ) pretending not to hear us in the many times waiting just for a glass of water ( my wife is pregnant ) and running creating confusion ( it was saint valentine Saturday ) all the staff were super friendly and very kind, food is good and not expensive, my wife didn’t like the steak but mine was good, I didn’t like cheese but that’s personal. The only complaint is that the closed terrace was quite cold so we had dinner with jackets and space between tables is 5 centimetres so you can hear other guests discussing as they with yours. A part this if I am back in Paris I ll come here again

Amazing experience for an introduction to French food!

We got the bone marrow, escargot and the French onion soup – all were very reasonably priced and tasted delicious!

The beef bourguignon was slightly tough, overcooked and salty but again for the price – fair. I asked for medium rare steak and it came rare but tasted ok.

Desserts were great, but probably wouldn’t get the profiterole as the milk ice cream was not sweet at all. The crème brûlée was amazing – would recommend.

Overall great experience!
