Stopped into Ned General for breakfast on our way to Estes Park and it was such a hidden gem. The breakfast burrito was incredible, the coffee was delicious, and the cookies were to die for. The inside is so cute and spacious, and the outdoor dining area is big with plenty of seating. Great parking, quick service, and they even have pumpkin coffee right now. This place must be new because it needs more reviews and more hype. A must-stop spot in Nederland.

Since Ned General took over from Salto there’s been a dramatic improvement! Service is better, food is way better, hours better (open more), and the whole energy/vibe is MUCH better! We love it! We go almost every day for Happy hour, taco Tuesday, or any time we want to go hang out and have a cappuccino or hot chocolate. And of course, the building and cozy inside as well as the outdoor patio are amazing! If you’re coming up to Ned to visit or meet someone, this is the place!

An unexpected gem on Dec 5! Freshly-fallen snow outside, inside the spacious, tastefully outfitted room there was a warm fireplace with comfy chairs and friendly fellow-customers. Lots of people chilling- reading, socializing, on their laptops, making crafts- wonderful atmosphere. Staff genuinely friendly. We ordered the delicious, reasonably priced green chili stew- just enough kick to make the food very tasty. We live in nearby Boulder and will definitely be back!

We arranged for a catered meal for 16 people with a curated menu. Ally and Sarah worked with us to tweak the food to accommodate dietary issues and made the entire process seamless. When we arrived they had decorated and set up the entire side of the restaurant in the corner for our party. It felt intimate and cozy. They had provided a “Congratulations” poster for my son and new wife. The service was excellent as was the food. I would recommend Ned General for your holiday party’s and large gatherings…they were great!

Got a delicious grilled cheese on the way back from skiing at Eldora and had a great time hanging around! The staff was incredible- Angelique especially was very nice and was able to explain different options and helped me pick out items based on my description of what I was looking for. Would recommend!

Just moved back into town and this is a must stop while in Ned. I was shocked that their prices on coconut water beat both BnF and the gas station. We love a spot that doesn’t gouge prices so locals can also exist and enjoy their town!! Also their sandwiches, pastries, and espresso are top notch. 10/10 recommend

That’s a hard no. Chaotic, slow service, blaring music, and sub-par overpriced food.
The only redeeming qualities are the great space and community vibe. But we would certainly not come back here for any meal time. Maybe coffee in the morning but nothing else.

I keep going in here hoping I am going to like it better….but the truth is this place sucks compared to the previous coffee shop that was in this space. The food selection is much worse (especially for GF, you can’t eat here anymore, sorry), and everything is sooo expensive. There used to be a full bakery display of options, now there is just a random chocolate cake on the counter (uncovered, which is weird too). Even the seating choices have went downhill with the new ownership. The barista this last time was also really rude! Such a bummer, because I used to love coming here after skiing at Eldora.
Any place still charging $1 for alternative milk is -1 star for me too. It’s almost 2026, we know it’s not more expensive than dairy or a specialty request anymore.

We found this place by co-incidence and it was one of the luckiest finds in our three weeks holiday here in the USA. We had lunch and while the menu is not massive it is creative, and while I had some of what I ordered before, never like this – good quality, fresh, well prepared, tasty, each item. Friendly and effective service, and real good vibes. I do not understand the negative comment of a few months ago but when speaking to another customer I learnt that recently NedGeneral had come under new management. Honestly this is a gem.
