When Merkato closed some years back, I gave up on the hunt for good Ethiopian food.. One of my best friends let me know about this gem that I seemed to have looked over. BEST ETHIOPIAN FOOD IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS.
My favorite dish is the awaze tibs. They did not disappoint. Flavor was ON POINT! They served the lamb without bones as well.. major plus! I have eaten twice through delivery and food came at perfect temp. They serve a plentiful helping! Do yourself a favor… grab a bite!

The Godin were absolutely delicious. The service met all my expectations and the atmosphere fulfilled my unfulfilled desire to return one day.

I have been looking forward to this place and oh what a disappointment. The place had 2 or 3 people, seem mostly employees. Looks nice and cozy I will say. Service was terrible. Server doesn’t speak English so a gentleman who apparently works here came over to help. Many menu items not available. Ordered some drinks mainly water and beer. After that we sat for a long time with no one coming over to take order. They just stared from the bar. After waiting too long, I went over to the bar to close out and pay for my drinks. No questions asked as to why. They all just stood behind bar talking and laughing. I have NEVER had such terrible service even in the worst restaurant I’ve eaten in. This was beyond worst. I will definitely not be back. All i have to show is my water and beer. Do better folks. I am all for international restaurants. I hope to have one of my own but they have a reputation that needs to be remedied. Poor service to the point I am embarassed!!! Horrible service. If the food is great, I guess I wouldn’t know

Our flight landed late and we didn’t want fast food, I was so grateful they were open and served us a delicious, fresh dinner with a smile on their face at 11 PM! Thank you!

Came to eat here before going to EDC. Wanted to try something new and boy was I surprised. I’ve never had or experienced Ethiopian food before. The food was delicious and the owner had to be the nicest guy I met in Vegas. We ate with our hands, no utensils, to experience the culture at its fullest. I’m really happy that we were able to fill our stomachs here while indulging in such a rich cultural environment. Everyone here was so friendly along with some of the customers chatting with us about the food. I will be recommending all my friends to come here!

I use to be a lucy fan, but I’m not anymore.. this place IS AMAZING. The food is top notch and the service is exceptionally on point. If you frequent Ethiopian restaurants like I do, you’ll know atmosphere is always the most lacking part. This is now my new favorite Vegas Ethiopian restaurant!

After having tried nearly all the Ethiopian restaurants in town, I’m excited to say that this is one of the best. It’s a great addition to the unofficial “Little Ethiopia” of restaurants and grocery stories along Flamingo. The space was very clean and I would have loved to try dine in, but only had time for takeout today. Got two absolutely heaping and piping hot portions of vegan fitfit (Ethiopian breakfast- injera tossed in tomato and onion sauce) and shiro (side dish made from puréed chickpeas and spices). I think this was the best shiro I have ever tasted, even after traveling in Ethiopia! The flavors were amazing with a kick of hot spice and the texture was deliciously creamy and not too oily. The injera here also tastes very fresh and has a great flavor.

The service was also outstanding- the chef came out from the kitchen to give me my food. He greeted me by name and offered me more shiro on the house. He also said that when I come back if I would like it more or less spicy, just let them know. The feeling of hospitality was so great. Like all Ethiopian places, they are vegan friendly and will make sure your order is vegetarian or dairy free. I’m pretty sure all the meals are cooked to order from the quality of the food that I tasted. Will definitely be returning and any fan of Ethiopian food in Vegas should as well!

One of the friendliest Ethiopian places in Vegas. The owner, Ibrahim, and chef, Napoleon both came over to our table to check how we liked their food.

Their injera is fresh and made onsite. Had the veggie combo which was excellent!

Clean, well run, great service. If you are a fan of Ethiopian, or just want to try it for the first time, highly recommend Axum Palace.
