I ordered fried rice at the Hyattsville location expecting the same quality as Rockville, but the food and presentation were noticeably worse. The rice was bland, not spicy as advertised, and felt thrown together rather than prepared in-house. It also came in plain, unbranded packaging with no cucumbers to cool the tongue when the spicy was too much. unlike Rockville’s standard. It literally didn’t taste the same I kid you not, you can compare them. It’s day and night. The picture is the Rockville location. It was spicy, plenty, and VERY flavorful. Wish I had the Hyattsville location pic but , who wants to take picture of mediocrity.
Since this is the same menu and brand, this lack of consistency is unacceptable.

The food was terrible. It looks great but does not taste great and is not quality food. It took a while to get our food and my friend was bitten by mosquitoes inside the restaurant. I was so excited to eat here from the ads I saw and I went with a friend yesterday and we both got the yum drum trio and I also got the mopo corn dog. The chicken was either old or cooked in old oil, it was difficult to eat, the fries were hard and tasted reheated and even the mopo corn dog had a freezer burn taste in the potatoes on it. It was incredibly disappointing and I couldn’t even finish my meal. On top of that a couple of hours after eating I got sick. I’m not sure if this is a bad batch but I would warn others about going to this location. I would have been better off getting supermarket fried chicken.

First time trying this place out. The wings were addicting with the breading and all. Got the soy garlic but definitely didn’t taste any garlic. Very salty and mostly soy. The Korean donuts were to die for. Staff was attentive and friendly. I would try again in the future.

We ordered from here in the past and enjoyed the bone in wings! This time we tried the 30pc boneless wings and unfortunately it tastes completely different, what a let down. They are absolutely not the fresh Korean fried chicken that we expected, they instead taste like dry frozen tysons chicken bites coated with sauce. The breading is completely different from the bone in option, and its just sad that we paid $50 for this. I cant recommend this place anymore.

I know not every store in a chain is the same but I I’ve had Bonchon many times and in teokkbokki they always give me seaweed rolls boiled eggs and fish cake but I only got the fish cake I paid $17 for a single bowl of teokkbokki with just a couple pieces of fish cake and another almost $20 on chicken bimbap

The food is decent. I tried fried wings with three different sources and fried rice. The fried rice is very delicious. It’s a little bit dark in the restaurant. It’s a pity that we were the only customers in the restaurant from the beginning to the end.

I went here with a former friend back in late June 2024. The chicken was sooo good and I actually got full off the wings and pickled radish, which is rare for me. The vibe was fancy and I loved that the workers were Korean.

My friend ordered a meal online and we waited about 15-20 minutes to walk a block and get it (I live next door at the other end of the same block). We get there and the lights are out from a power outage. A guy comes from the back and we greet him before he greets us and tell him that we placed an order online. He states the power is out and he doesn’t know how long it will take. I asked him how long the power was out and he said it just happened within the last 3-5 minutes. So I try to ask him if the order was made but he walked outside to be see what’s going on outside. There was a lady there and she was basically agreeing with him and not really paying us attention. So, we patiently wait and about 7 minutes later the light comes on. That’s when the lady decides to deal with us and greets us like we haven’t been sitting there or see didn’t see us talking to the guy. My friend tells her he’s here to pick up his order and she asks his name. He provides and name and low-and-behold, the order was sitting behind the register the entire time. Me saying I was irritated is an understatement. I wanted to address it but my friend decided to just leave. The fact of being dismissed and then having to eat lukewarm warm, room temperature food left a very sour taste in my mouth. To say that was my second and last time visiting there and I will not be recommending location to anyone. But I’ve had two bad experiences at two separate Bonchons has me writing off the entire franchise.

The app didn’t work, so I walked in to place an order to go. Yummy bibimbap! I purchased an additional sauce, which was smart since the sauce cups are SMALL! The spicy chicken was a good protein choice. I think the egg yolk should’ve been runny, but I understand this is a high volume business.
The restaurant is very dark and quiet. Lonely. I’m glad I was getting to-go. I’ll be back!
