At our Leesville, LA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The lade in the drive thru was very pleasant. I had to wait a while, but it was busy so understandable. I will not order the lobster roll again. It looked atrocious.

We stopped in randomly on a Monday afternoon heading back to Texas from Leesville. Never been to one before in my life. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and the staff was very friendly. We took a little time deciding what we wanted and they were very patient with us. Once we did decide I swear to you they had our food out to us in 5 minutes if that. The food itself was DELICIOUS. Fish and shrimp was hot and crispy on the outside, the fries and hushpuppies were fresh and the coleslaw was perfect. I highly recommend you stop in and support them…I know when I’m through that way again I’ll be back for sure. Thank yall for the great experience!

But the District Manager reached out to me to personally apologize and offer 2 coupon meals to replace this horrible meal & for the one I received prior to this but did not call in. I fully accept his apology and acknowledgment of my experience as it was refreshing to receive from a business. Thanks! I used my replacement coupons a few weeks later, and the meals were hot & fresh! I admit, I wasn’t angrily fuming and was very hungry after getting off a long days work like last time, so no. I did not take pictures but I am acknowledging how they handled everything! Thanks!
I just left Captain D’s in Leesville La 71446 and ordered the DELUXE SPICY SEAFOOD PLATTER, order # 0122 and paid nearly $15.00 (12.99 + tax 1.30=14.29) only to get all the way home and open my food and THIS FISH IS OLD AS THE FOOD THEY COOKED AT LUNCH TIME! Mind you, it’s 7:25pm! It’s hard and very burnt dark. You can tell it was dropped back in the grease to give the illusion that it’s hot. No, ITS OLD! Clearly, no where close to being fresh! The fish is very dry inside. The shrimp chew like rubber. The fries ARE COLD. The stuffed crab is NOT IT! It’s just full of grease from being dropped back in the grease. This is too much money just WASTED. I WILL NEVER RETURN!

Stopped by today after reopening.
Well guess they have not been back opened long. Full staff of about 8-10 crew members back there. Kitchen looks much bigger than before. Prices as expected have gone up. I can take time away from eating because everything is at best luke warm except my sweet tea that is very cold and just about right on sweet. Corn just doesn’t do it for me, fish like I said luke warm i like my fish hot. Hush puppies are pretty good and would be better if they were hot. Hope it gets better with time. But will not be back for awhile.

Delivery not available so had to pick up. Went and waited in drive thru for 44 min for a $65 order to get to window for the order, asked 3 times are you sure everything is here. Got the order home and just about everything is missing but 2 items..Dumb me did not notice because they piled napkins and sauces all over the top. Tried to call but kept getting a voicemal that said “this customer is not available”. The 2 plates they did put in the bag are so pitiful..1 pc fish 3 shrimp and about 5 french fries..So now another trip into town to try to get the correct order. Ya’ll need to do better! This is why you are getting such negative feedback!!
