Bagels are always fresh and crispy when toasted. the texture and taste are great. they are also fairly priced and service is always prompt. They have a drive-through but only for pick-up orders made on the phone, not sure why.

cream cheese is a little expensive but you can just assemble it at home. If you want everything bagels, you have to come in rather early on the weekends. So far, i have been unsuccessful but here’s a mini everything bagel I managed to snag and assemble at home.

Second time here. The first time was a year ago, back in October 2024 and the bagels were amazing. Ordered the lox bagel on cinnamon raisin and my wife ordered an everything bagel with lox spread. But something happened since last year, maybe the recipes changed. But the bagels aren’t nearly as good as the used to be. They are too doughy and don’t have the same crispness on the outside as they used to have. The atmosphere is still the same and service is still warm and friendly but the quality of the bagel has gone down. I always order their muffins to go, the double chocolate, blueberry and pumpkin spice are very good. We’ll try it again next year, maybe the bagels will improve.

I ordered 4 plain bagels a bagel with cream cheese and an Italian sub. The Italian sub was 13 dollars and a gas station could have made a better sub. Abysmal portions. They then proceeded to stuff everything into 1 bag that ripped as soon as I walked out dropping my food. Do not go here much better options in town.

I ordered through doordash like I usually do, and on occasion my order has not come back correct. I have a copy of the receipt where I asked for meat and got none in my tray. The egg platter is supposed to come with it, it’s included in the price, so idk how they missed that but it’s disappointing

Breakfast Sandwich had 3 solid slices of Taylor Ham. The everything Bagel was covered. The bagel itself was slightly above average. Overall it was a 4 for Breakfast Sandwich for Scary Good Eats. Service was excellent in a very crowded front area. A lot going on. I would go back again.

Good food but a little overpriced. The chicken tenders were delicious and a reasonable price ($5 for 4). But a side of fries was $5. That’s high for a small side and they were bland.

I do not know what happened to this place in the last year but the bagels have gone down hill, to nearly inedible. They are flat, chewy and have no flavor anymore, they also tasted old. The cream cheese is almost as bad, the veggie cream cheese has giant chunks of bell pepper in them, along with what looks like green onions or leeks, it’s overpowering. The order we had was missing the proper bagel with veggie cream cheese and tomatoes, instead we got a blueberry bagel with regular cream cheese The Asiago bagel had cheese slapped on it uncooked, I don’t even think it’s Asiago cheese. The French toast bagel had GARLICKY taste, my son wouldn’t eat it. Unfortunately we won’t order from here again.

Hackettstown Bagels serves a large variety of the largest and most well-made bagels we have ever had. They also have a wide variety of delicious toppings and bagel sandwich ingredients. If you’re near Hackettstown (a great little town itself and home of Mars candies) it’s a must-stop location.

My wife and I moved from New York to Maryland about 9 years ago. When we did we missed NY food, specifically pizza and bagels. While visiting or son who had recently moved to Hackettstown we tried bagels from this establishment. Best we’ve tasted since we left NY! We bought a couple dozen to bring home and feast and freeze! Will definitely return!

I come here when I’m running late during the week and need breakfast – usually getting a bacon, egg, and cheese w/ salt/pepper/ketchup and a second bagel with cream cheese. Bagels have always been fresh for me, and their breakfast sandwich is also very good. Will keep coming back
