We had a great time here. It was very cozy and nice atmosphere. Quiet and nice ambience, however, we felt kinda uncomfortable by our server. Service could be little better and friendly. Will definitely come back though.

When you are seeking comfort food on a very cold wintery day, you go to the Valley View Inn. We met friends for lunch, and we had a great time. My husband and I shared a crock of their French Onion soup. Our friends each ordered their own crock. The soup was served hot – loaded with onions topped with crusted bread and lots of cheese. It was truly scrumptious and satisfying. Knowing that they cook a fresh turkey, we ordered their Ultimate Club Sandwich to split. The club was loaded with fresh sliced turkey, fresh sliced ham, bacon, Swiss, lettuce, tomato, and light mayonnaise on white toast. It was just perfect. Our friends were very pleased with their Hot Turkey Platter. The fresh turkey was piled high with French fries and topped with gravy. We finished our meals with a slice of Carrot Cake and a slice of Lemon Meringue Pie.

The service from Tracy was fantastic, she was very helpful, friendly and professional, the food was outstanding, atmosphere was mellow, fresh and clean, plenty of parking, I had my 92 year old cousin Jimmy, he had no problem navigating from the parking lot to the table, he said afterwards he was glad we chose this place to have lunch

All the food was great and so was the service.
Navy bean soup wá the best!
Spag and Meatsauce was so good, some mozzarella on top plus 2 meatballs included.
The open faced turkey sandwich so good, came with steak fries, a nice change up. Gravy on everything.
We will be back.

I have driven past this place many times I tried it a few years ago. The food was very good, the service was outstanding the chicken tenders are good, the sandwiches are great, and the crabcakes are good,All for very reasonable prices. This place is most definitely a hidden gem you would not expect it to have amazing food but now it is one of my favorite spots in the Parkville area.

This is a great hidden gem! They have clean Covid spaced tables, great service and delicious food. We ordered salad (which was fresh w/homemade dressing), French Onion soup (the best I’ve had in years) and the roast Turkey platter (savory stuffing, homemade mashed potatoes and moist tasty turkey). Even the coffee was fresh brewed. It’s connected to a bar and has some of that vibe. However, we’ll be back for more delicious food and great service from this family owned restaurant.

10 Stars!

The locals have been coming to this place for DECADES, and now I know why.
It has a unique family feel, great food, and kindly staff.

The chef, in my opinion, is incredibly talented. I ordered a medly of items from the menu and was impressed with every dish.
Portion size, taste and price were all spot on – I actually felt guilty that they didn’t charge more for the food! The ingredients were so fresh and they spared no expense!

French Onion soup – to die for. Absolute perfection.
The chili was also delicious, just the right amount of spice, flavorful and satisfying.
Maryland Crab soup – the star of the show. Giant delicious chunks of crab meat in a blissful soup.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I ordered the rice pudding. Wow. Now I know what heaven tastes like!

Overall, our party was so pleased with the service and food that we literally stood and gave the chef a round of applause!

Update 9/24: still great.
Roadhouse with regulars in a cozy DR side and a dark bar side. Not fancy, but it’s Baltimore great, more fun and much better cooking and value than dressy places. No ties have ever been seen, Bmore hairdos and Christmas sweaters have been seen. The burger can be had with the best grilled onions in town. Oysters and crab items are good and they try to buy locally, not that imported pasteurized crab like some “famous” nearby places.

We celebrated our 51th wedding anniversary today and this is our favorite plate to eat. It has a laid back atmosphere which makes for compatible dining.

My wife got tge usual hot turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and coleslaw which she said was the normal 5/stars. I decided to try something new today, the pork chops. They were prepared just right and I got the sides of baked potato and coleslaw. Our server was excellent. Made our day for sure.
