We had a really nice experience here last Saturday evening. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was good and the atmosphere was quiet and kind of vintage rustic. We’ve been for all you can eat wings on a Wednesday and that was great. This time we ordered from the menu. Burger was good, fish was moist and tasty, sirloin steak cooked perfectly mid-rare, the Reuben was really fantastic and we all loved the fries.

Country Grub is a hidden gem with a throwback cozy cabin like atmosphere run by owners who make you feel right at home. Their food is great, their desserts made personally by them are sublime, and the music – Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Sam Cook- all the old greats – make this place great. But the icing on the cake is Cassidy aka Chas, who makes you family. I asked my 88 year old dad what he liked best after serving him a huge plate from the breakfast buffet. He smiled and said “Just being here”. So I think that sums it up perfectly.

This place shouldn’t be judged by the outside appearance. We had the Sunday prime rib and brisket brunch. The did was really good. I would call it “Home Style” food.

The brisket was really good and fatty the way I like it. Only one BBQ sauce, but that was good too. The baked Mac and cheese was very good. I also really enjoyed the pasta salad.

We will definitely be back to this place.

Excellent service and great food just like your granny made. Rare steak was perfectly cooked. Even as the place filled up, service never slacked off. Drinks were kept filled. Try the cheese curds – Seasoned to perfection. Generous portions. Now on the list of must stop in when visiting Franklin family. And will have to come back because they were out of the apple lasagna. Bummed but very full and happy.

Step right into the best home cooked meal for miles – I can hear my grandma and my mama saying “Bring your appetite child, ‘cuz there’s plenty of food for everybody. Now, get yourself some biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, whatever you see and sit for good stay and enjoy. Coffee?” Yep, that’s exactly what this is like. The biscuits are exactly like my mama used to make. SO GOOD! The variety of breakfast foods are perfect – not too many choices, and not skimpy either. Lots of donuts, eggs (2 varieties), ham, sausage, bacon, biscuits, sausage gravy, breakfast potatoes, corned beef hash, french toast sticks, toast, butter, jelly, chocolate milk, regular milk, orange juice, and coffee, tea, or soda. All yummy! I didn’t catch the name of the gal running the place, but let me tell you, I felt like we had been friends for years. Super nice, super welcoming!! The place was clean through and through (yes, I used the bathroom and it was perfect). Prices are absolutely affordable. There’s plenty of comfortable seating and good music playing. Bring your appetite!! Oh, and one more thing….a bakery case FULL of homemade desserts – eat them there, take them with you – just eat them!

This is a super cute, way of the beaten path gem. We were driving home from Ohio, and took the back roads instead of the thru way. I googled places to eat and came upon Country Grub. It’s in the parking lot of a fairgrounds, but don’t be discouraged by that. The food was excellent, very good portions and decent prices. My boyfriend got the Reuben sandwich, which he had had a ton of in his life, and he said this was one of of the best he ever had. I had the pot roast sandwich, which was also great. The desserts looked amazing, although we didn’t try any as we were full from our dinner. The waitress was excellent as well. The owner Todd saw us walking out and asked how our meal was. He then noticed we had NY Plates and wondered how we stumbled across his place. We had a very nice chat, and he was appreciative of us giving his place a try. He told us about the fairgrounds and said that sometimes people come to eat, but the parking lot is full because of an event, but he usually has tables available inside, so if you want to try a great little place with excellent food, take a minute to check inside, even if the lot is full!!!!!

IF you can find the place (it’s pretty well hidden) the food is OUTSTANDING. Home made, big portions, and the service is super friendly and attentive. The place is a little dark inside, and feels more dated than homey, but the food and service more than makes up for it. We’ll be back.

Tasty food, a bit pricey. The fries are thin almost overdone. The patty burger has great flavor and I like that it’s on bread instead of a hamburger bun.
This place is known for their wings notice the picture “Wing King”. They have acquired the wing flavor “Chris’ Concoction ” which came from “Taylor’s Pub” and was one of his best flavors.
