I’ve been a couple times before, mostly for drinks. They usually have live music on the weekends and feel more like a club than a sushi/seafood restaurant. I came for their Tuesday sushi roll special. They only have about 6 mostly non traditional rolls. I went with the spicy tuna and black pearl roll. Both were just ok to me. While the spicy tuna was decent, the black pearl roll was muddled and none of the flavors stuck out or meshed well together. Edible but I wouldn’t order it again given its price. They’re expensive and the only way I was convinced to show up was on half off day. I still didn’t feel satisfied when I left. Maybe the other rolls are better, I do like the vibe here.

I have driven by this place many times and never stopped in. Well, a few days ago, that all changed, and my wife and I stopped in. The bartender was awesome, with great conversation and service. The bar itself is very nice with a great selection of beer and spirits. We did not eat, but from the people that were, they all seemed to be enjoying their food, and it looked great. We live in Mobile but prefer to come to Pascagoula than deal with the downtown area of Mobile. It is much more laid back here, and from our house, it takes about the same amount of time to come here than to Mobile.

If you haven’t gone to Jack’s on Tuesday you’re missing out! It’s their buy one get one sushi and you can’t beat that anywhere. It is always fresh and so tasty. Pictures is the Green Dragon and Jackimo. Their egg rolls for appetizer are so good too. The Green Dragon is my all time favorite and is highly recommend!

Stopped in here today and ordered fish and seared duck tacos, as well as some sushi to go. The fish tacos were the best I’ve ever had, and the duck tacos were even better. Haven’t tried the sushi yet. Highly recommended!

Our waitress provided excellent service. However, the atmosphere shifted after the morning bartender departed, who had been outstanding. Notably, a female employee who arrived spoke to every patron except us, the only two minorities present. I expressed gratitude to the bartender, but he failed to acknowledge it. Although the food is pricey, its quality justifies the cost, and I appreciate paying more for exceptional cuisine and a welcoming environment.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised here at Jack’s. If I’m being honest I didn’t expect much for Mississippi sushi by the railroad tracks but it was great. I had the Black Pearl and also a shrimp taco. Pretty tasty. I think with just a little bit more refinement it could be absolutely amazing. I will definitely come back on one of the live music nights and check it out. Looks like a cool place.

Came on a Thursday night and was treated to live music which was nice. It was our first time there and we were a little confused walking in bc it took a while before the wait staff greeted us and told us it was open seating.
Drinks: pretty standard Liquor, beer, and wine selections.
Appetizers: ordered spicy smoked tuna dip. Pretty tasty but the won ton chips they were served with could’ve been a little crispier.
Sushi: ordered the Pascagoula Run, Bob Marley, and the Black Pearl. All were tasty but covered in a little too much sauce for my liking.
Po’Boy: ordered the Vancleave Special and I’d give it 3.5 out 5 stars. The crab patty was tasty but the bread was a little tough and chewy.
Overall it’s a cool little bar with some pretty good food. I’d come back and try some other dishes.

The food was really good. We got a roast beef poboy which was great! Made with a real tender roast. The beer was ice cold. They have really good bands on the weekends but not dance floor 🙁
