We were excited to see the new ramen place open, and we got to try it for the first time today. Loved it! The ramen broth was delicious and so warm! The pork belly was pretty good, and I got spice added on the side. I would recommend the tonkotsu ramen.
You order up at the front, sit at a table and they bring the food to you. Refill your own drinks.
Update:
Went back today and the food was meh. The tonkatsu ramen was so bland and the pork was the color of roast beef but tougher. 50$ for to bland ramen bowls with inedible meat, a drink, and some sad gyoza. When we first came the food was delicious but now it’s just mediocre. Maybe next time it will be better but 50$ leaving hungry and unsatisfied is shameful.

Me and a friend tried the miso ramen, it was okay at best. Not very flavorful, and the ramen noodles were pretty much the same quality as microwave ramen. Food was also cold, but the broth was very hot. Particularly disappointed, as I absolutely love ramen and was excited. I hope to see improvements in food quality OR a decrease in price as time goes on.

Had the spicy miso and spicy donkatsu ramen for lunch today and… not gonna lie, this is the BEST ramen spot in Kirksville so far. (Trust me—look at my first name, I’m 100% Asian. I know what’s up.)
Already planning to come back and try more of the menu. If you’re in town and craving actual good ramen, this is the place.
Oh, and yes—the ramen comes with proper chashu on top. That’s how you know they’re doing it right.

I’ve been several times. I’m a creature of habit and have gotten the same meal every time. Half sea ramen. Every single time it is so delicious. The spice, the flavor, the broth. Will always recommend.

It was our first time trying it out. We were very pleased. The service from the time you walked in the door was perfect. We ordered the Half Sea Ramen and Miso Ramen, both were excellent! Also we had an order of calamari, it was the best I have ever had!

I think Ja Ramen serves some good tasting food! Kirksville, MO has had relatively few options to eat at for a number of years, so I see new businesses like this as a welcome addition to our little town. The prices are kind of high, and the menu is limited, but it’s a nice place to eat at.
