Layla’s Falafel in Fairfield is consistently fresh, flavorful, and always reliable — exactly what keeps me coming back. Everything has that homemade feel that only a great family-owned Middle Eastern spot can deliver. The food is always the same high quality, which I really appreciate. The chicken kebabs are a go-to for me, whether in a bowl or ordered alone to use in meals at home, and their dips are excellent.
Their fries deserve their own shoutout: they might be the best in the area. The portion is so generous that I often pop the extras in the air fryer and enjoy them over several nights. Between the freshness, consistency, and the kindness of the family who runs it, this location is an easy favorite. Highly recommend!

Tried this for the first time when I was hosting some friends.
3 stars because there is a $16 price discrepancy for the family meal from the site to actually ordering!!
Overall, the food was good. The CT bowl felt haphazardly put together and it was hard to see what was actually part of it.

I am impressed everytime I stop by. The bowl is the most worth-it to me; its a massive portion, and there is no charge for toppings. I love, love, LOVE the falafel. It’s fresh and crunchy and oh-so good. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the staff, either; they are so so sweet and kind. We will be going back!

Food was good. Chicken was flavorful but a little dry. They give you a large serving of hummus and a small salad with tasty dressing. Sauce is also included.

I’ve been going to Layla’s Falafel for over 10 years, and after visiting their Stamford, Westport, and Fairfield locations, I can confidently say this is one of the most consistently excellent restaurants I’ve ever known. No matter which location I visit, the food is always fresh, delicious, and reliable, the quality never wavers. My kids love it too!
The staff deserves special recognition as well. They’re always polite, friendly, and genuinely generous. There’s a welcoming energy at every location that makes you feel like part of the community, not just a customer.
One thing that makes Layla’s truly special is the opportunity I’ve had to see how much care goes into preparing everything from scratch. Watching their process firsthand gave me even more appreciation for the food:
• Dolmades being freshly rolled and prepared in-house
• Hummus blended daily, smooth, creamy, and unmistakably fresh
• Baba ghanoush made from roasted eggplants right there — smoky, rich, and homemade
• Tabbouleh chopped fresh — parsley, tomatoes, mint, onions all prepared by hand
• Gyro meats sliced and prepared with care so every serving is tender and flavorful
• Doner kebabs seasoned, cooked, and shaved fresh — not frozen or pre-processed
• All meats cooked on-site, juicy, well-seasoned, and consistently delicious
• Every wrap, platter, and bowl assembled fresh, not pulled from pre-made containers
Everything is freshly made, freshly chopped, freshly cooked, and freshly wrapped. The difference shows in the flavor, the texture, and the overall experience.
After more than a decade of visiting Layla’s Falafel, I can honestly say it’s a rare gem!!! A place built on quality, consistency, and genuine hospitality. We need more family businesses like Layla’s. Dino and the whole family will go out of there way to make sure you can experience everything their delicious culture has to offer. I moved out of Fairfield last year but I always come back for their incredible hummus and pitas. And if you haven’t tried their Spinach pies, you need to address that immediately. You can taste the quality ingredients, they import everything so you get authenticity right here in Connecticut
