I went while they were serving their Hanukkah menu.
To drink, I got the Gran Via, a whiskey cocktail with sherry and amaretto. It was very strong, but also well balanced. They brought out bread, which was crispy and came with olive oil. For an appetizer, I got the roasted eggplant soup which was super flavorful with a nice blend of spices and a deep, rich taste.
For my entrée, I had the chicken sofrito. The rub on the outside was great, and the skin was perfectly crispy. The sauce helped cut down some of the saltiness and added a light herbal flavor that worked really well with the chicken.

Lovely cozy space with attentive and personable servers. The menu is fairly limited but it is all made to an exacting standard. The braised lamb and porkchop are particular favorites though the skirt steak does not disappoint either. Eat here and you will not have a bad time.

Everything was lovely, we went for the 10 year anniversary weekend and wow, it did not disappoint. Started off with deep fried oyster mushrooms and salmorejo, paired with some orange wine! What a lovely combination of savory, spicy, and sour. The main course was fantastic, only wish I had ordered a 3rd. We split two between 3 people. The steak was cooked perfectly over some crepe thing while the lamb was served with fennel. Everything was shocking and delicious! We wouldn’t stop to talk. Just mmm, mm, every few seconds. Finally we had some olive oil chocolate mouse and lemon olive oil cake. I love Spanish olive oil! Fab flavors and perfect textures. Hats off to the chef! Don’t forget to have some port wine, too!

My wife wanted to go here for her birthday so I made reservations and we made the two hour trip. She had the best time, the chef was amazing and accommodating. The food was next level! This was the first time we’d ever tried this type of food and we were NOT disappointed. It was an awesome experience, awesome environment and most of all, it was awesome food. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing, the staff was so friendly! The only issues were the lack of air conditioning and the lighting. Upgrade to some brighter lights and ceiling fans and it’s a perfect atmosphere.

Can I give them 10 stars? One of the BEST restaurant meals I’ve ever had (and I’m a tough critic!).
We had heard about the Chanukkah menu and made the trek from the Chicago suburbs for dinner. So glad we did! We started with the eggplant soup, which was to die for, then I had the fish which was PERFECTLY cooked on top of a tomato, spiced, warm broth, with more (smoked) fish on top to add to the flavor…omg, and my husband had the chicken, which was just as fab. We ended with the honey cake. I’ve gotta say, I’m not a fan of honey cake and I could have eaten mountains of this cake! To. Die. For.
Thank you for an unforgettable evening! I can’t wait to come back!
Oh and the entire staff was just delightful!

My aunt and I went for our birthdays this year. I can’t remember the last time I had better service! Our server was so knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Everything was fantastic from drinks to dessert. I even took bread home because it was so good! Thank you so much for a great night out!

Amilinda, under the guidance of Chef Gregory León, offers an unforgettable experience that transcends mere dining. From the moment you step into this charming establishment, you’re enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere that mirrors the hospitality of the Iberian Peninsula.
Our culinary adventure began with a stunningly plated sardine, with a symphony of flavors that tickled every part of your tastebuds from cool and warm to sweet and savory. The delicate fish was complemented by a vibrant tomato relish and a touch of nutty almond, creating a harmonious and unforgettable appetizer. It was great to dip a piece of bread into once the sardine was devoured.
While we had initially planned to savor the roasted beets, the allure of the seared lobster mushrooms and sea scallops was irresistible. These Spanish and Portuguese-inspired dishes were a masterpiece. Each bite was a testament to Chef León’s meticulous attention to detail and passion for showcasing the freshest ingredients. With eyes closed, it was as if we were dining on a cliffside overlooking the Spanish coast.
Amilinda is a rare gem in Milwaukee, offering a truly authentic taste. The warm and attentive staff make you feel right at home while the exquisite cuisine transports you to another world. If you’re seeking a dining experience that will leave a lasting impression, Amilinda is a must-visit.
