I meant to leave a review Saturday night after arriving home, but sleep was more prevalent. On Saturday we were supposed to have gone to the coast for some claim chowder bowels, but like I mentioned we were super tired. We spent part of the afternoon going into the evening deciding on what to eat for dinner. I personally was craving buffalo wings, but my other half was not. I then started craving fried chicken, once again my other half was not. We finally decided on Mario’s. Upon driving up to Mario’s we noticed the parking lot was full and neither one of us wanted to stop. we started driving away thinking on now what are we going to eat? We started throwing restaurant names out, when i remembered we hadn’t been to the newly named restaurant Trakis. My husband was a bit hesitant since he wasn’t a big fan when it was under different ownership. Yes my husband tends to be picky. We finally agreed and headed that way. It was a slow night, so no problem getting a booth. Right away I saw they had buffalo wings as appetizers, so those were ordered ASAP. Next the chicken fried steak to satisfy my fried chicken craving and to our surprise the soup of the day was clam chowder! I couldn’t believe this place met all my different cravings of the day. I had never left a restaurant feeling so satisfied. Everything was flavorful! The chicken fried steak topped everything though, crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. I loved that it wasn’t oily, making one feel less guilty over eating fried food. The portions were perfect, not overly huge or too small. I have nothing negative to say. I hope to go back soon. Highly recommend if craving American home cooked meals.

Chef is amazing! Food is always great everytime we come in…… Everything on the menu is good, but in particular we love their breakfast. Today i got chicken yakisoba which was better than I get at most Asian restaurants and my husband always gets chicken fried CHICKEN which is the best ever!

Something new in town with alot of variety! So many choices on the menu is always nice rather than just the usual. I had the chicken sandwich it was delicious the picture does not do it justice. The atmosphere is nice calm and everyone in there was super friendly we can not wait to go back and try some of the other food items on the menu. I really suggest everyone gives it a try if you are looking for variety.

Came here for breakfast with 2 friends and 3 toddlers all under 3. They serve their juice in flimsy, paper to go cups so when two of the juices accidentally got knocked over the lids didn’t hold and they spilled all over the table. Waitress was not very helpful in cleaning the mess as she brought out 1 rag and was hesitant when we asked if we can have one more since the table was still wet. Additionally, she didn’t offer to replace the juice until I asked and refused to refill the second cup because “it only spilled halfway”. What a joke lol. The kids size juice was $4.49 each so I shouldn’t be surprised at how stingy they were acting. I understand things cost money but accidents also happen and customer service should be the priority. This accident from the children definitely set the tone for the rest of our experience. I noticed the waitress and owner (white bald guy and young white girl with long blonde-ish hair) kept staring at our group from across the restaurant after this happened, but never once smiled or walked over to ask if we needed anything. The food itself was average and not worth the price for the experience we received.

Me and my family came in to order some food and we had the service of one young lady. I think her name is Sam. She had yellow hair and she was extremely short tempered. I understand having a bad day, but you were in customer service as a waitress you’re supposed to be nice and she was just extremely rude hardly ever helped us Very short tempered just extremely disrespectful young lady and we won’t be coming back because of her.

This family owned restaurant in California’s Central Valley in a farming community in Chowcilla offers authentic Mexican fare prepared by the uncle, the waitresses are a mother and daughter team, and also includes a son and father who helps out as well. The ambiance is fair and decorated with Mexican curtains separating each booth and lots of odds and ends and various other items. sprinkled throughout. The food is pretty good, but not great! I will say that their fried cauliflower cooked in this wonderful tasting macha sauce was to die for. It was nice and spicy and the cauliflower was cooked just right. It’s a must try. Yummy!!! However, bad news regarding my hubby’s dish of chili verde, while tasty, he crunched down on egg shells. Not good. I think chef uncle must of had a hard night the night before and lost his concentration. I ordered the waffle without the strawberry sauce and when I got my order, what do you think was the first thing I saw? You guessed it, plenty of strawberry sauce. I decided not to send the order back and just scraped off all the strawberry sauce. I also liked the fact that this restaurant had a very good habanero hot sauce which I have never seen at any other restaurant. Would I return to this restaurant in the future? Yes! I think so. It is truly a family owned business that is worth supporting.

06/24/25 – Traveling North on Hwy 99, looking for a good sit down cafe for breakfast. This popped up on my map search. The reviews were good so we gave it a try. Delicious breakfast! I had the Bacon, Avocado, Cheese omelette. The hash browns were crispy and I enjoyed every bite. My guy had the chicken fried (beef) steak with gravy, he was very happy. Our waitress was very efficient, she didn’t seem to enjoy her work but it might have been a bad morning for her. The signs said, under new management, that caused a little concern because we chose to stop after reading past reviews… we were not disappointed. Pulling a small 18′ trailer we parked along the curb but there is plenty of parking and areas to turn around on nearby lots.
