Sierra Tap House “The Tap House” opened its doors in 2006 during the Downtown River Festival. We are conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Reno on the beautiful River Walk District. Outside of the great assortment of beer, we have created a unique atmosphere with great patio seating directly viewing the beautiful Truckee River!

A great place to drink beers by the water! This was the first bar we stopped at after getting to Reno and, after coming back 2 more times during our stay, I can safely say this was probably our favorite. The beers they have on tap were really good (I believe I had the golden bell lager and was pretty impressed with it) and the bar tender was really sweet and remembered us when we came back a second day in a row. So much more fun than drinking at a casino… If you like nice patios and good beer come check this place out!

Long time favorite bar on the river…and not just mine. Sierra Tap House is a favorite. Period. I especially love it during the warmer weather months when we can sit outside on the patio.

I didn’t actually eat here, but the people around me that did, their food looked amazing. I went in to have a couple of beers and they had a good selection. My bartender’s name was Ian and he is a very personable guy and makes you feel right at home. All the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend it!! If you’re an IPA person, I recommend the Big Little Thing by Sierra Nevada.

Food was very good with generous portions….but they told us they were tweaking the menu. Good service. It took a little work to find it as it is on the river and there was street construction to contend with. The food and service made it worthwhile.

Best gem on the Truckee River in downtown Reno. No food but you order from near by restaurants and they deliver to you. Amazing staff and the locals are friendly as well.

Madison is the best vibe. A younger (refreshing) crowd but im not complaining. Nice little bar by the river. Hard to beat. Great vibe, great service. Do it. Oh, they cater to the sober crowd too. They make dome great mocktails and NA beers. Check it!!
