I ordered the NorCal Burrito—packed with carne asada, rice, beans, pico de gallo, and guacamole—and let me tell you… it was delicious. Hands down the best Mexican-style burrito I’ve found in Virginia Beach so far. The flavor was on point, and the size? MASSIVE. I easily got two meals out of it.
My husband went with the brunch burrito, loaded with his choice of meat, eggs, potatoes, and cheese. He loved it too—and once again, the portion size did not disappoint.
We also tried a horchata, which was the only letdown. Unfortunately, it didn’t taste very authentic—more like it came from a powdered mix rather than being freshly made.
Overall, the burritos alone make this spot worth checking out… just maybe skip the horchata
While the cost of a burrito and taco has gone up, the taste is a Californian style of Mexican food in the east coast.
I can really appreciate it and will definitely come back when I need a taco/burrito fix. Gonna have to try the flautas next time.
Tried the socal burrito with chicken, it was very good and pretty big.
I’ve seen a few complaints about service and pricing.
My experience with the staff was ok, they’re not overly friendly but they’re certainly not rude. You’re there to eat not marry the staff, they’re not coming home with you so as long as they’re respectful and professional they’re great in my book.
Pricing… I agree it’s a bit high but so is everything else now, have you been to the grocery store lately?
They did open a business to make money and not work six days a week only to struggle with paying the bills at the end of the month.
If I see a family running a business and working hard long hours, I’m more than ok paying an extra couple of dollars for a meal to reward their honest way of making a living.
The bottom line is it’s a fairly new business, give it a shot and don’t sentence them to death because they forgot your salsa.
Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.
The portion sizes are huge, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. Whether it’s tacos, burritos, or any of their other offerings, you can count on leaving with a full stomach and a satisfied smile. The service is impressively fast, and the restaurant is spotless—clearly, they take great pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
What makes No 1 Taco even more special is that it’s family-owned and operated. The family-oriented vibe is palpable, and it’s clear they put a lot of love and care into everything they do. If you’re ever in Virginia Beach, make sure to stop by No 1 Taco. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss, and I can only hope they consider opening a location in Fayetteville someday!
