We have eaten sushi all over the world. Imagine what a pleasant surprise it was to find Yoimi. We never expected sushi this fresh and creative in Idaho! Usually the best fish and freshest is near an ocean. I bring my father to Idaho Falls every month from Logan for an appt. We discovered this wonderful place a year and a half ago and eat here every time we are in town. The head boss lady waitress is a knock out, funny, and runs a speedy tight ship.

Visited Yomi for a family dinner and had an overall pleasant experience. The interior was decent and comfortably busy. Parking in the front looked limited, but we still found a spot without trouble. Service was attentive, and the menu offered a solid variety of options. We ordered the Yomi fried sushi, the calamari appetizer, and hibachi. The sushi was excellent, the calamari was nice, and the hibachi was just okay as it felt a bit heavy on the sauce. Still, it was a good meal and a nice place for a family outing.

Four of us shared the snowball, hells canyon, kiss of fire, and volcano rolls with 2 sides of noodles and 1 side of rice, and it was a lot of food. Everything was tasty. Almost all of the non-fried specialty sushi options where with tempura sushi and/or cream cheese, which isn’t surprising for an American sushi restaurant, but more options would be nice

We went to Yoimi Sushi for the first time. We had the Crab Ragoons, Yum Yum roll, King Kong roll, and the Snow ball roll. Everything was very delicious and we were enjoying our dinner. The service was really great.
When eating a piece of the Yum yum roll, I found a small piece of plastic like saran wrap around the crab meat. I notified the waiter just so he would be aware. The wait staff was very kind and gracious and they brought us another Yum yum roll immediately for free.
We finished our dinner, paid the bill, left a sizable tip, and took the leftovers home. Today, as my son and I were enjoying the leftovers of the Yum yum roll, we found two more pieces of plastic.
While we did enjoy the food and restaurant very much, finding plastics in our food is an issue. I hope that better care can be taken in the future. I reached out to them over email and have not received any kind of reply.
Edit: I saw the response here from the owner. I reached out to the specified email twice and still haven’t recieved a reply. I wanted to give this restaurant another chance, but due to their lack of response and the plastic in their food, we will probably not be returning.

We had an amazing first experience at Yoimi Sushi! The service was outstanding, the food was fresh and delicious, and everything came out quickly. Our server truly went above and beyond he made our family feel so welcome and made the kids feel extra special. By the end of dinner they were saying they want to work here when they grow up! We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

The sushi is so flavorful and fresh! I highly recommend this place if you like sushi. Staff is friendly, the service is very fast and the food is delicious. We ordered the Hot momma roll, Wanda roll, and snow drop roll. All were fresh and flavorful! We ordered shrimp hibachi and the portion size was perfect for one person! We will be coming back regularly to this place.

This is the best sushi place in my opinion for price and elegance. Not only is the service fantastic, the atmosphere sophisticated and getting more so, the food is amazing, and the sushi presentation is definitely above and beyond. I have sampled all of their menu and I have my favorite sushi rolls and am pretty religious of getting that. However their Hibachi is also just as impressive the flavor profile excellent and fresh. This is nothing to dislike about this place. My pictures consist of the Billy roll one of their most popular, Wanda roll, Geisha roll, lady in red roll, and sake (salmon) sashimi. Do yourself a favor if you are at all a sushi fan and check this spot out in Idaho falls they also have a location in Bellevue Idaho and one opening soon in Twin Falls Idaho.

This is such a cute and great place for dinner! We love the sushi here! I highly recommend the Targhee (deep fried) and Snow Drop rolls. These are really yummy!!! My personal go to favorites are tempura shrimp and eel, so these were great!
The service is also really good! They gave my husband a free slice of cheesecake for his birthday and sang for him! Highly recommended place for sushi!
