I like this place, love the location, they have live music, outdoor seating and a really good food menu.
It isn’t an extensive food menu but what they do have they do well. My personal favorite is the nachos, great marinade on the meat and the chips are wontons omg soo good and unique. My hubby loved the roast beef and the fish and chips were okay. I haven’t had the chance to experience the “bar” side because I’m not drinking at the moment but just dropping in as a restaurant goer is satisfying. I have always received good service and I like the music choices they are always playing throughout the bar.
I would recommend and would visit again. Also doesn’t hurt that this place is from scratch so if you do get food it’s made with a higher standard and that’s something you can taste.
The bad: Ordered a $7, 16oz beer, got it in a 12 oz glass. 2/3 beer, 1/3 head. That’s crushing.
Food runner spilled my daughters water all over her lap when bringing our food. Left us with a kitchen rag, never returned for it so we had a dirty rag on our table the entire meal.
Ordered fried chicken dinner. Bread was stale- dry and like a rock, chicken was half fried well, the other half was burned.
Kids got kids meals. Drinks supposed to be included, we got charged for them.
Super bummed. I heard good things. For reference, went on Saturday at 4:30. Place was half filled, no excuse for the poor everything.
Despite a little bit of a wait for a bigger table, our waitress was very friendly. She explained the specials and we were immediately excited. Everything is made from scratch. We started with drinks and our waitress was very timely with everything. The live band was getting started and it was very nice to have live entertainment while starting our dining experience.
The group ordered a couple starters. Starting with the cheesesteak egg rolls, which were fried perfectly crispy. The fries were nice as well. The star of the show was the spicy ketchup! It was very addicting. The righteous wings were fried flawlessly. Someone ordered a French onion soup and a side salad. The soup was so good with a thick layer of cheese on top. The caprese sandwich and the BLT sandwich were very good. The tempura battered fish sandwich was also delicious! We ordered a couple specials that were recommended. One of those being a steak with a baked potato and asparagus. The steak was cooked medium rare and seasoned nicely. We also tried the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes, a bit oily but it can not be helped with that cut. Otherwise it was so delicious. For dessert we had to try the apple cider donut bread pudding, the cherry topper to the whole experience. I can not wait to return!
Side note… my boyfriend and I have been here twice and on both occasions Chef Jen and Chef John came to our table to make sure our food was prepared to our liking. They have absolutely exceeded our expectations!
