I got the fish and shrimp tacos to go. tortillas were cold not fully cooked. Like when you get up to cook tortillas at home, because you didn’t cook enough the first time and need 2 more and it feels like forever so you dont let it finish cooking because your bomb Chile con carne thats the last bites is waiting and want to keep the momentum going. So you dont cook the tortilla fully just half way. These ones weren’t even to the half way cooked marked. But oddly soft enough where they didn’t break.
The batter on the fish tacos was not crispy enough but cooked, yet My hubby said his fish was cold. Missing lemon for my taco.
Food flavor: I would say the flavor overall is okay. The Chile Serrano was spicy how I like it.
Food portions are good as well

The reason I tried this place is because the worker was so nice and greeted me and answered all my questions about the menu and so that level of service made me want to patronize this business. I got the Smashburger with fries and was shocked. The burger was actually really delicious. There was a great char on the burger, a great flavor it was really good. The shock comes from the fries. The fries smelled heavenly. They smelled delicious to the point where I was walking home and I wanted to eat them on the street because I could smell them through the bag. I opened the container with my fries, I was surprised as the fries were so undercooked they were limp they weren’t crispy at all and when I ate them, it was literally like I was eating a boiled potato. I don’t understand how they could smell so good and yet have no flavor at all. I wish I was exaggerating. I tried almost half the fries to try and find the source of this amazing seasoning I smelled but had to spit them out because I was literally eating something with no flavor. Was it the end of the world? No. But in this economy, you need the food that you buy from a restaurant to be outstanding because you’re spending your hard earned money and this just was so disappointing. My first time and last time at this restaurant.

Had a quick bite here a few weeks back and on that visit I tried the wings and they were extremely good . So I wanted to give it another a shot and try something different then the previous visit. So I had the double smash burger . It was fresh and well seasoned, stacked with bacon and fresh sauce on a toasted bun and it was . There’s more than enough seating depending on the time of day and day of the week as it is a food hall of multiple places.

I was fairly disappointed with this place. The food was decent but not my favorite there was not a ton of flavor but the food came out fresh at least. It did take a long time to get the food out they seemed understaffed. The service was alright they just hung out in the back of the kitchen talking while we were waiting to order and we had to make it very clear we wanted to order just to get someone to come up and take our order. Once we got our order they forgot some of our food condiments that they offered us so we had to go back and request those. Overall wasn’t a great experience. I probably won’t be coming back here again. I wouldn’t recommend going here.

My husband got the double smash burger and I tasted it. One thing I can say is this was truly a smash burger. Some places think smash means the meat is so thin it turns into to nothing but a crips. This is a real smash burger, still thick but flat. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. You could taste the seasoning on the meat. The fries were also delicious.

Searching for Nashville Hot Chicken I found this place. They don’t serve N.H.C. but the menu looked decent with a small variety of items. I had the three piece wing combo with crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, and pickles. The chicken was good, really hot and fresh. The fries and the comeback sauce were ok, not hot like the chicken but not cold either. Texas toast was the perfect mop for the drippings off the chicken and the pickles were a nice touch.
Will come back again for the tacos and a couple other items!

I ordered a single smash burger and this is what I got. I grabbed my food and sat down, realized that the order wasn’t correct, and immediately went back. The buns were soggy and deflated from all the margarine. It seems like it’s been sitting there for a while. It was just bread, meat, cheese and no condiments, pickles or onions at all! Well, they closed the gate and wouldn’t come over to talk to me, they kept washing dishes and putting things away. I asked 3 times for at least some pickles and they kept saying, “I’ll be over in 2 minutes” so after 5 min of waiting I walked away and ate my soggy plain burger. Why didn’t they tell me they were out of ingredients or something? Why did they avoid talking to me? Pretty bad service.

I don’t often leave reviews of places I’ve eaten from but this is my favorite hot fried chicken place! And I’ve tried quite a few. All are good but this place gets as close to Nashville, Tennessee style chicken a SoCal guy can get. I tried the tacos and the sliders, WOW! They have a great selection on their menu from wings to breakfast burritos. Looking forward to trying something else on the menu and try their “hot” level of flavor.

You wanna get full? You got jury duty? Did you try some of the other food in 4th street and didn’t get full? Just eat here, man. I got the tots and chili and literally knocked out during jury duty selection. Thank you, Golden eatery for giving me the grace of being a bad choice chosen to go home due to my lack of sleep. Keep doing what you’re doing, food that’s relatively priced and will make you FULLLLL.
