I recently tried Papaya Vietnamese Cuisine and I was impressed by the freshness of their ingredients! One standout dish was the Grilled Coconut Chicken on Rice- the chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and had a delicious creamy coconut flavor. The accompanying vinegar sauce paired wonderfully with the sticky rice, adding a nice tangy contrast.

I also ordered their Iced Coffee, which was rich, sweet, and almost dessert-like—ideal for a hot day. I actually got it for a picnic, and it was the perfect refreshing treat!

Overall, a great spot for authentic Vietnamese flavors with fresh, well-prepared dishes.

The Crossroads website still lists this restaurant as Papaya Vietnamese Cuisine, but it’s definitely now La Que (according to my receipt) and under new ownership. The quality and flavor of the food was just okay. I ordered the noodle salad with egg rolls. The egg rolls were crispy and flavorful, but there was barely any rice noodles and mostly shredded lettuce. The amount of food I got wasn’t worth the $15.

This Vietnamese restaurant, formerly Papaya Vietnamese Cuisine, was excellent. It’s now La Que, under new ownership, as I had found out a week ago (Oct 11, 2025). The chicken and tofu noodles dishes were predominantly shredded lettuce! Definitely felt like a rip off and not worth the price of this dish at $15.99 each.

Maybe people’s problem are the other menu items but this is one of the few places where you can get a true Vietnamese sandwich with ham and head cheese and liver pate, and it’s good. But the caramelized pork was terrible with under developed raw fish sauce flavor.

Awful food. This is a Mexican food disguised in Vietnamese. The chicken pineapple rice is literally some chicken and some sliced pineapple on top of white rice. Don’t go.

The lady that took my order was super sweet …I got the papaya salad and another cold noodle dish that she recommended and both were on point. To bad we live far away but we will definitely go back once we go back.

This place was my last resort for pho when I had a craving, but now I can’t even call it that. I think since the recent change in staff it’s been going downhill. Disgusting pho, the “beef” was inedible. For a $17 bowl of pho it had better be awesome. They don’t even give you a proper spoon.

Sandwiches and noodle dishes are ok

Ordered a Banh Mi #1 sandwich and the pork belly was 90% fat and grizzle. I thought it’d have more meat like good bacon. Nope! Other than that (throwing that meat out) it was excellent. Great bread, marinated vegetables and dressing. Impossible to find good traditional Banh Mi in the Eastside!

I look forward to trying out their other Banh Mi.

I asked the cashier how long they have been here and she said 10 years. I doubt it since they have 0 reviews until mine.

This is the comfort place for me and my kid, I don’t understand why the ratings are so low, we love it. Yeah the mall isn’t exactly a five-star restaurant atmosphere but we really enjoyed it here and sometimes they’ll have shows but overall the people are nice and the pho is great so all of you who gave it one star, suck it.
