Stopped in here for a early Dinner, I think we where the 1st. customers this day, as we were sat by either the manager or the owner, not sure which, but our waitress came sliding in just after we where seated. Ambience was great, they had Christmas light hanging every which way all over the outdoor seating area with so many “cord and plugs” everywhere you looked, I’m surprised the fire chief hasn’t shut them down for a fire hazard. But that was part of the charm of the place. Our waitress was Great and the food was Amazing!! We had a Ceasar salad and added the “anchovies$3$ and croutons$4$” extras, not included, but definitely added to the salad. We also got the “Caprese salad” to start off with, both very good and substantial salads. For our entrees, we had the homemade “Gnocchi Di Patata”, interestingly larger then your typical sized gnocchi, almost the size of golf balls, really soft and pillowy, in a tomato meat sauce with walnuts and pinenuts which gave it some texture, different but really good! We also had the “Fregula Con Cocciulas” handmade fregula pasta with fresh clams, Italian parsley, sun dried tomatoes and garlic, absolutely Excellent to finish off our meal. We will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items for sure! Highly recommend for authentic Sardinian Italian cuisine!!

My gf’s and I strolled in Daniela’s one Sunday funday and I was immediately hooked! I brought a date here another evening bc I couldn’t stop raving about how authentic and mouth watering the dishes are, the way the ambiance transported me to Italy, and how kind and generous the staff is. I’m so thankful for that fateful Sunday bc Daniela’s has become a staple for me in Hampden.
The pasta truly is home made and the dishes are made to order. This is Nonna’s restaurant!!!
I ordered pacheri ai funghu porchini. The first time I came here was post workout and I wanted extra protein so our server, Osakana, recommended to add a red meat sauce mixed with the white cream sauce. And it was absolutely delicious!! It’s the kind of meal that makes you involuntarily close your eyes and savor every flavor dancing on your tastebuds.
My date ordered the spaghetti alla chitarra in salsa di carne with a side of veal. I tasted some of his spaghetti and the basil and garlic was what stood out the most. This sauce is the most authentic sauce I’ve ever had stateside. I was transported back to Italy with every bite!!
Daniela’s is a family owned and run restaurant that brings the flavors of Sardinia to Baltimore and I am so so grateful and thrilled to have a place like this in my hometown!! I recommend Daniela’s to everyone who has the opportunity to visit Hampden!!!

Superb. The pasta was incredible. I had the porcini pasta – it was fantastic. Creamy with a delicious mushroom flavor. My friend had the ravioli in sage butter and loved it. Their pasta is cooked perfectly, and the homemade noodles are so wonderful and slightly el dente.
The tiramisu was delicious. You could tell it was homemade. It went perfectly with the rich coffee.
Service was wonderful and attentive.
Walked by here so many times and really regret not trying it sooner. It was FANTASTIC.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Do not eat here if you have food allergies or celiac disease!! The hostess gave me a piece of regular bread after I had told her 3 times in a row that I have celiac disease and cannot have any gluten or cross contamination, *and* after I asked her to re-confirm that the bread was GF before I ate it because it looked just like the bread that my gluten-eating friend was given. I believed them because they swore up and down that it was GF, but I found out the (very) hard way that it wasn’t.
I ate the bread and I was like “wow!! This is the best GF bread EVER!! Can I get another piece?” And then the owner gave me a second piece, which was obviously the *actual* GF one, and looked nothing like the bread I had gotten the first time. I called it to her husband’s attention and all of them denied that the first one was regular bread, even when I got out the picture of the bread they gave me the first time and they admitted that it didn’t look anything like the bread they were giving me now, but they’d never actually own up to it, so they tried to convince me that the lighting in my camera was off (it wasn’t).
Needless to say, that was on December 19th, so it almost ruined Christmas for me. Stabbing pain, couldn’t keep any food down, absolutely exhausted, my stomach was so swollen I looked 6 months pregnant, my skin itched horribly, and my joints were swollen.
These people need to know how much their negligence impacts celiacs. It makes it so much worse knowing that they lied to my face when they obviously must have known once they saw the picture I showed them of the first piece of regular bread that they had messed up big time. I’d NEVER go back here and I don’t think that anyone with celiac disease should take the risk on this place.

Quaint local Italian (Sardinian) neighborhood restaurant. Tables were way too short for us, but we squeezed in to enjoy an authentic meal. We ordered a clam pasta, a fruiti di mare pasta, and a lobster mushroom ravioli. It was probably meant for family style eating with multiple courses, but we didn’t pick up on that in time and ordered like Americans. We finished with cafe and dessert – panna cotta with a raspberry sauce, tiramisu, and a pastry filled with Nutella and banana.

Came in for the first time right before the valentines rush, service was excellent even though we came in last minute and they were prepping for a big night. Waiter was knowledgeable and friendly and the food came out at a very reasonable time. Everything we ate was delicious but the lasagne al funghi (mushroom lasagna) was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten, a must try.

Came in for a birthday dinner with some friends. The atmosphere was nice and inviting. Our server was super friendly. However service was slow and it didn’t seem very busy (we waited a long time for a chance to order even wine – by the time we ordered the wine we were already ready to order everything).
The food was not great. My spaghetti was pretty flavorless and mushy, the sauce was very bland. One of the other guest’s food looked like it was floating in butter, so greasy. The caprese salad was just cut up cherry tomatoes without a ton of flavor and some mozzarella balls – didn’t really get much balsamic or fresh basil, though the olive oil used was quite tasty.
Also for the price point, I was very surprised to not be offered fresh parmesan on any of our pasta dishes, (or any parmesan at all), fresh pepper for salad, etc. We sat for awhile with dirty plates on our table as well once we were finished eating.
Dessert was very good and probably the highlight of the meal. Overall, I doubt I’ll be going back.

We enjoyed our evening on the porch at Daniela. The food was really good and fresh. The mixed drinks were average and the wine selection was a bit below average. Service was pleasant but uninformed and the server had a difficult time understanding us.
Portion size is large and the pricing is very reasonable. This is a nice place for a laid back evening with very good Italian.
I recommend sitting on the covered porches but not on the sidewalk.

Daniela is an amazing restaurant. My wife has celiac so we don’t go out to eat often because it’s hard to find truly celiac safe restaurants. I found this restaurant on a website featuring gluten free restaurants and was glad to learn they have a separate part of the kitchen for gluten free meals. They even have gluten free pre-meal bread, which my wife loved
The food was absolutely delicious. It’s hard to find Italian food this good outside of Italy (and yes, I’ve been there). The staff is very friendly and attentive. My wife loved her gluten free meal and, best of all, didn’t get sick later so the kitchen does a great job of keeping the gluten free food separate from everything else. My meal was exquisite as well.
For such amazing food, that features handmade pasta, the prices were very reasonable.
I wholeheartedly recommend you go to Daniela Pasta and Pastries. You won’t regret it!
