There aren’t many foods that I’m a tough critic on BUT I do have high expectations when it comes to BBQ. That being said.. JD’S EXCEEDED them all! The business itself is basically the poster child for a “hole in the wall” restaurant. By that I’m saying if you sneeze at the wrong time then you’re driving right past it & will miss out on what I consider the best BBQ in the area by a long shot. I’ve been loyal to my other BBQ joints for years but JD’s is offically my go to for my BBQ needs. I’ve recommended them to many others & they have all been pleased as well so stop wasting time trying to decide where to go & head on to JD’s. You can thank me later!

Wonderful little pit stop if you’re passing through don’t miss it especially if you’re hungry. You won’t regret it! Family owned and operated and it’s a little jewel in the middle of nowhere. Just enough room to park get your food and go. There’s also a convenience store right next door.
It’s on the hilltop so use extra caution when pulling out of the location. A lot of dump trucks and semi tractor trailers travel through that area especially during business hours Monday through Friday.

I absolutely love this place. It’s small, Mom and Pop. The guy that owns it is chief chef, cook and bottle washer. Only has one employee, to ring up your order. Only three tables inside, with a picnic table outside. It’s small, but if you’re a fan of some of the best barbeque you’ve ever put in your mouth in your entire life, you can’t miss this place. Reagan TN out of your way? Doesn’t matter. Make the trip. You’ll never regret it.

Travelled down from Nashville for some authentic South Tennessee barbecue. Restaurant is an awesome hole-in-the-wall with killer pork. Staff was knowledgable and friendly and we grabbed a couple of bottles of sauce to save. Don’t miss J D’s!!
