The best brisket I have ever tried, hands down!!
This is my second time at the stables but the first time I didn’t have time to eat as I had to catch a flight; this second time I MADE the time to eat here and OMG, best decision ever made!
After our 2 hour horseback ride we came to The Cantina to grab a drink and lunch, we ordered the Blackberry Sipper and a ginger vodka drink that Eve made for me, not on the menu. We both loved our drinks.
For food we ordered the mac & cheese with brisket, brisket sandwich and the coleslaw, everything was to die for! Everything was so fresh, tasty, delicious, and I have never had such a delicious coleslaw like the one Eve makes!
Speaking of Eve, she is the owner and what a lovely friendly person she is!
We were staying at The Broadmoor and the drive was about 35-40 minutes ride, SO WORTH the drive, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Food was amazing. Such a neat place. Great service. Great atmosphere. Beautiful drive up. The brisket sandwich was the size of my daughter’s face . The nachos were awesome. Very good, made from scratch, green chile. My son loved the Hawaiian Mac and cheese. Awesome drinks (the habanero mango drink was fantastic). Will definitely be going back!

This has to be one of my favorite places ever. Cole slaw is worth it alone just for the drive. Chicken BBQ as per recommended the owner. She wasn’t wrong. Delicious. Not dry. Not too saucy. Blackberry lemonade was terrific. I’ll be back soon!

This place is a gem n the middle of the Forrest and it makes you feel like you’ve been time warped into the old Wild West. The people, drinks, food and the atmosphere make me never want to to leave. If you’re on Old Stage rd and you pass this place, you’re doing yourself a disservice. See you in the spring!

This has become our go to spot for R&R! Amazing food (pulled pork, the mac and cheese and the COLE SLAW), breathtaking scenery both on the drive up and at the Cantina, but what really makes this place special are the proprietors, Mark and Eve and their family. They have the most amazing hearts and their hospitality is second to none!

Service was amazing, beautiful views. Definitely worth the drive. The Mac n cheese can be made with pork, brisket, or pulled chicken. Four types of homemade bbq sauce you can choose from that are all to die for. Tasty deserts and cocktails. Would recommend and come here again when in town.
