Absolutely phenomenal time. I haven’t been here in a while, and I’ve clearly been missing out. The food creations are incredible—familiar staples are reimagined with a fresh, inventive spin. The drink menu is creative, the beer is expertly brewed, and there are plenty of healthy salad options alongside a pulled pork sandwich my son couldn’t get enough of.
George, our waiter, really deserves to be mentioned at the top of this review. He understands the art of great service in a way few people do—always present but never overbearing. He was genuinely invested in making sure my family had an amazing experience.

Food was fresh and delicious! Vibe was cozy, and festive. High end food, with a homestyle touch. Beer was better than we remembered! Espresso martini was memorable ! Cinnamon roll dessert was sooo good. Not too sweet. Trap rock is back on our rotation ! The chicken Cajun pasta was so plentiful and so much flavor. The trap rock burger was so juicy. The ribs fell off the bone ! Yummmm

We absolutely love Trap Rock! My husband and I have celebrated many anniversaries and birthdays here over the years, and no matter how many other options we consider, we always find ourselves coming back. The food is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect for good conversation and a relaxing evening out.
This visit, the Trap Rock team truly outdid themselves. We were celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary and were greeted with a cozy corner booth, napkins folded into hearts, a thoughtful handwritten card, and even flowers to take home. What other restaurant goes out of their way like that?
Everything we ordered was delicious. To top it off, they offered us prosecco for a toast and a dessert to sweeten the evening. It turned what could have been a simple dinner for two tired parents of three into a truly special, memorable night. Thank you, Trap Rock, for always making us feel so appreciated and celebrated!

I had such a great experience at Trap Rock Restaurant & Brewery! The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, and the service was excellent. I absolutely loved the tuna tartare — so fresh and perfectly seasoned — and the local burrata was just amazing! Everything tasted so well-balanced and full of flavor. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Berkeley Heights for a nice dinner and good vibes.

The service at the bar in the afternoon was great. Drinks excellent. The Nashville Hot Quesadilla had no heat, just fried chicken. It was fine just not as expected. The chicken Cordon Blue Sandwich was as expected. Atmosphere was very good in the bar area. There was a bright area for dining to the right and a more cozy area to the left.

Best craft pilsner, I ever had. Most places can only make an ipa. Food was fantastic. Small menu, but satisfying. Also a lot of top shelf whiskey if you’re not a beer fan… GF loved the ipa, had a smokey old fashioned after dinner and dessert… btw the bread pudding was an 8.5

Trap Rock Restaurant and Brewery in Berkeley Heights delivered a great lunch. The Crispy RI Calamari was light and crunchy with a clean tempura batter, bright cherry peppers, and a sriracha lime aioli that pulled everything together. The Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Quesadilla had solid heat, melted pepper jack, pickles for snap, and a ranch drizzle that kept it balanced.
The food was strong across the board, and their lineup of in-house brews added a unique twist. We enjoyed the visit and will absolutely come back to explore more of the menu.

We been coming to Trap Rock for 2 decades. The place is spotless clean and super friendly. Had the blessing of being taken care of by Tina. She has the most amazing personality and makes you feel like a long lost relative. Each dish is crafted with the freshest ingredients providing multiple tastebud orgasms. I love the fact that they update the menu regularly so that you have plenty of options to explore each time you come. I also have to give credit or credit is due to the bartending team. The Harry Potter of mixologist’s must’ve been working last night. The libations were outstanding. Treat yourself and go today. Stopped by again and was blessed to meet Kai. We had a wonderful evening at Trap Rock the other night. Alli and the host made us feel so welcome and our waiter Donavan was terrific as well.
Food was excellent and drinks are really next level with all the available beer brewed in-house along with the wonderful specialty drinks. We had a seat overlooking the brewery.
The atmosphere is by far the best with the bustle of an old tavern and charm of an upscale restaurant.
Glad this is so close to home and excited to return again soon.

Oh man, I loved the beer here. Absolutely tasty brew and Ryan the hostest was very nice and made time to chat about the newest menu items. Only downside was the bartender which would be better in the back where no customers go. Man oh man was she rude. Shot down any questions I had about the homemade beers, didnt introduce herself, and just made me feel like I was wasting her time. And it was slow, like I saw 3 people sitting down and I was the only person at the bar. Just so rude! Traps, you dont need that type of person working the bar. Not sure I’ll be back which is a shame because that Echo was just the best IPA ive had in awhile. Cheers!

One of the directors reached out and was kind enough to invite me again to make things right. Decided to take them up on it and was pleasantly surprised by how big a dofference a good bartender can make! Got there a bit after noon and was met with a friendly Frank who introduced himself unlike my previous bartender. Talked about the menu, asked me what I liked and although I didnt plan on spending much time there, Frank made sure I was well cared and attended for. I intend to bring my wife next time to really get the full experience. Thanks to Frank and managers for making this right!
