A true gem in the heart of Oviedo!

I discovered this brick oven pizzeria and wow, what a find! The pizza is absolutely loaded with cheese, with the perfect crispy crust that’s just unbeatable. Every bite is packed with flavor, honestly a 10/10.

I also tried The Italian and it blew me away! The pesto sauce and the mix of ingredients were next level so fresh and full of flavor.

While there are a few outdoor tables, the place is clearly designed for takeout and delivery. But trust me, it’s *totally* worth it.

Special shoutout to Francesco, who gave us outstanding service and made sure we left happy and satisfied with our order.

Highly, highly recommend this place.

I’ve lived in Oviedo since 2003 and have tried most pizza places in the area. I’m upset that I didn’t try Cucinella’s sooner. The crust was super crisp with minimal flop. When I got my pizza I could immediately smell hints of garlic which really shined through with every bite of my pizza. The toppings were high quality. Overall, the price to quality ratio was top notch. I got an 18″ 1 topping for $22. Besides that, the staff were super friendly and I could tell they appreciated my business. This is the kind of place I’ll definitely support. Looking forward to ordering again!

Update: Today (3/8/26)
the pizza wasn’t good at all. The hydration in the dough was way off making it very chewy and difficult to eat. I want this place to be at the top of my list so bad. Please have QC checks to ensure consistency. If it’s this bad again I’ll look elsewhere.

Very good spot. First time here today and they were nice, friendly and super good pizza. Light and crispy bread, with delicious cheese and pepperonis. Glad I stopped here today!

Our absolute favorite place ever! Local family owned/operated and authentic Italian food!
We have always loved their house pizza and garlic knots. Tonight we tried the bruschetta for the first time – YUM!
Some of our other fave pizzas are the chicken bacon ranch, fig and prosciutto, and of course you can’t go wrong with a classic cheese. The cannolis and tiramisu are an excellent way to finish off your meal.
Give them a try – you won’t be sorry!

My husband has been dying to try this place after all of our friends told us this is the Pizza spot in Oviedo. Well they were not wrong! You can smell the garlic from across this street. The pizzeria itself is quite small with a few tables outside to eat at but they advertise as take out/delivery only. We ordered a Cheese pizza and a vegetable lover pizza. Both pizzas were great! The cheese pizza was golden and crispy and had a lot of flavor in the sauce. The Vegetable lover pizza was loaded with FRESH vegetables! SO GOOD! The staff was all working hard but still managed to be friendly and even offered me a soda while I was waiting. If you haven’t tried out this local gem you are definitely missing out!

We have been passing this place for so long and finally decided to order! The service was friendly and efficient and super flexible when we changed from delivery to pick up. I love supporting small business so we were excited to support an Oviedo business.

The reason for my 3 stars is that I just didn’t love the pizza. We ordered an 18” Bianca and 18” cheese with toppings. The crust was very tough and honestly didn’t have a lot of flavor. I prefer a doughy pizza but since this is brick oven, I understand it has to be thin, but it was burnt in some spots and without a lot of flavor overall. The Bianca was pretty good in terms of cheese and we added spinach but the ricotta was flavorless. I think the ricotta can really make or break a white pizza so adding some spices would go a long way. For the cheese pizza, we did half with 3 toppings and the other half with 3 toppings. The taste was ok, but again, the crust left a lot to be desired.

I don’t know if it was an off night or maybe this is the norm or maybe I’m just picky. I’m from the northeast so good pizza is a commodity and not easy to come by. I can’t say we’ll rush back but based on the other reviews, we may come back and try other menu items.

We didn’t dine in but the location and building itself is cute and feels like a small town family business, which we love! Hoping this was a one off and the other menu items are better!

Decided to finally order from this local legend of a pizza place one Saturday night when I decided to stay in to watch the soccer game. Being an Oviedoan, you hear nothing but good things about this place, and I was feeling pizza, so it just made sense.

Location is super fantastic, just a stone’s throw away from my place and historic downtown. Take-out only, so there’s only one parking spot on property. Get in, and get out. I love it. Service was amazing. They had my food ready when I got there, and the team were some of the nicest folks I’ve ever met.

As for the pies, we got two 12-inches.

First was the Fig and Prosciutto (Organic figs, fresh mozzarella and prosciutto baked on a drilled olive oil crust, finished with arugula served with a side of balsamic (no red sauce)). This was a really good pie. The bitter arugula with the sweet figs with the tang of that balsamic, just really well designed. I was surprised a mom and pop came up with this. Very nice.

Then came the Chicken Bacon Ranch (Ranch sauce based, chicken, crumbled bacon and mozzarella cheese (no red sauce)). This one was a lot of fun. Usually chicken on pizza is served in chunks that are too big, but this chicken was diced, so you got chicken and bacon in even amounts in every single bite. It was really cool. Big fan.

These 12-inches are also perfect for getting two and splitting them. You’ll have one or two slices leftover the next day, which is fine, because these pizzas eat well cold.

We also got the Garlic Knots (1/2 dozen garlic knots with a side of marinara sauce). Amazing knots. They go for a lot of little ones, so you get an amazing crispy outside-to-soft inside ratio. Garlic and olive oil everywhere to get some good stuff in every bite.

Overall, I had no idea that this kind of quality was literally a mile away from my front door. I never had a local go-to pizza place before this day, but man, I am so glad.

Tonight, I noticed for the first time driving back home a pizzeria right off the roundabout. I thought to myself, I had never noticed that spot before. So I went in and asked for two slices of pepperoni. The vibe inside reminded me of pizzerias back in The Bronx.

The lady at the register (I wish I had caught her name) was super nice when she took my order. The wait wasn’t long, and when she came out, she added an extra slice for free. That was really nice, but the best part was the pizzas were delicious. I definitely recommend this spot and will go back to see what else is on their menu.

I am from up North and have tried so many pizza places and finally found the one that I love after two years! The garlic knots were amazing too, but ate them so fast lol we didn’t take pic. The Pizza was cooked to perfection, and the crust was on point. Every bite was flavorful and delicious! This is the best lasagna I’ve ever had in my whole life. Wow! I highly recommend this place. The staff is very welcoming and my husband Chris likes going in there to have long conversations to speak to the owner Francesco and learn about the history of his cooking!

My review: I read the “best pizza” comments in previous posts on our community FB page. Naturally I had to give this place a try, because like a lot of you, I’m a lover of good pizza. 1st attempt last week it was a 2.5 hour wait time…. That would have made it way too late to eat. Next attempt they were closed. Tuesday was the day!! I was ready to order for my family. We wanted to try a few different things to get a feel. I opted for pick up and drove right over. Let me just say it did NOT disappoint!! From the kindness of the owner and staff, to the quality and taste of the food, and finally the prices are fantastic! We are now fans of Cucinella’s! Thank you Francesco Agueci!!

If you haven’t tried it, you should! Please be patient as he works hard in preparing the best food for you, so there may be a long wait during their more popular times. Good things take time. Prepare accordingly. la migliore pizza della zona!!
