The food is good. One of the better values in Troy. The service (at least the drive through) needs serious improvement. You need to call ahead if you want takeout from the drive through, which is totally fine. What’s not so fine is increasingly the kitchen staff will just watch you sitting there when you come to pick up your order and just say… Nothing. No one comes unless you call again. I’ve been watching this get progressively worse in the time I’ve been coming here. Tonight was really the limit. There’s really just no excuse to sit and watch a customer sit there and not even bother to tell anyone, and then my order didn’t even have slaw or cocktail sauce. Honestly this place is too good for that. Would really love to see you improve this. PS: PLEASE POST A CURRENT MENU

A busy early Friday evening for their seafood special. Service seems a little slow here but they are friendly. About 20 minutes to get the food out. The fried oysters were really good. Popcorn shrimp about average. Broiled shrimp was very tasty and a very large serving.

I felt like the whole place was really clean while still having a home town feel to it. Good country folk working there. The waitress was very inviting. She told us right away which was was best on the menu. Guided my friend and I to the lunch specials and it was a plate full! Best BBQ in years. Red coleslaw that was juicy and sweet. Fried squash so hot fresh from the deep fryer that we had to wait to eat them. And, I could make a meal of their hushpuppies. All in all, 10 out of 10!!

Had breakfast real early in the morning. It’s laid back and for there being one lady serving. She did an outstanding job. Food was perfect. Doesn’t look like they are open early in the morning, but they are. Come check them out.

It’s 10 miles from where I stay when in NC.
In on a Monday at 2 for a late lunch.
ORDERED:
Small chopped bbq sandwich, fries, slaw and a iced tea.
Total $ 8 and change.
Sandwich and fries came out cold and sent it back.
The return was still not hot but at least it was warm.
Fries were old and the sandwich
was dry and had no flavor.
No need to go back.

Hometown is a family friendly atmosphere with a tremendous variety of dishes. I had the Pork Chop lunch special with mixed greens, red slaw and potato salad. The pork chops were sliced thin, golden brown and juicy. Our waitress Debbie was working on her birthday, yet she was very pleasant and did a great job.
