Viale is an Italian restaurant in Cambridge’s vibrant Central Square. Their rotating menu showcases seasonal pasta dishes, appetizers, and entrees. Simple grilled pizzas and select meats are perfectly charred on a wood-fired grill. All major ingredients are locally sourced, meaning the shellfish, meat, and produce are procured by Chef Greg Reeves from some of the finest farmers and fishermen of New England.
The wine list features the vintages of small organic and biodynamic growers, and the artisanal cocktails and craft beers are all created with the same care as the food on the menu.
Seasonal Mediterranean fare, including pastas & wood-fired pizzas, served in striking, skylit space.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I travel over an hour to dine here. The vibes/art and food are immaculate! The owners amazing and an incredible chef. I got the octopus and the Oaxacan drink it was the best mix of flavors. Their oysters are always top quality. Highly recommend!

We had dinner at Viale, and it was a great experience. We ordered steak and drinks, and everything was delicious and well prepared.
The atmosphere was amazing—cozy, stylish, and perfect for a relaxed night out. Our server, Steve, was awesome—friendly, attentive, and made the night even better.
Great food, great environment, and excellent service. We’ll definitely be back

Great Happy hour if you enjoy oysters. The pizza is quite good, espeically the hot honey. Ive probably gone to Viales at least 5 times just to eat oysters. Maybe I just love oysters, I am not sure but I keep coming here for oysters nonetheless. Recommend if you live near central square, there is live music ocassionally from the streets you can enjoy as well while eating

Unique flavors and different takes on classic brunch and lunch options. I felt that portions were generous and also very filling. Came with a large group and the service was very accommodating.
Also, the cocktails were complex and tasty. Not overly boozy with the right balance of flavors as matching the descriptions on the menu.
For parents: A toddler high chair was available but no changing table in the men’s restroom. Didn’t ask for a kids menu, I don’t think they have one.

Came here on a Tuesday for dollar oysters and a draft craft beer. Was not disappointed. Most likely there’s not many of my breed “hardcore oyster lover” but FYI As of February they’re carrying a breed called “bumamoto” named after Kumamoto oysters, but bred in Barnstable (B for Barnstable, duh bro get it?) not as sweet as Kumamoto but similar texture, def saltier but overall a nice flavor. Props to my bartenders Mark and Kiki for being awesome, and they did a great job upselling me. Will be back here whenever I’m back in Cambridge.

Affordable priced beers and $1 happy hour oysters. Service from one of the guys was not too friendly and rude. Pass on the smoked wings, not too much flavor and small.

Had a great experience here when I came back to visit Boston. The food was excellent quality and the portions were well sized, and the server was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was also very nice and a lot of natural lighting from the skylights at the front during day time. Highly recommend coming here!

Went there on Sunday night, surprised to see them not as busy as usual. I’ve heard people talking about the quality is different but still wanna try the happy hour $1 oyster. The oysters are fresh, some are small but understandable because it’s not the oyster season. We ordered gnocchi, pork and carbonara, pork and carbonara are delicious but the quality of gnocchi is not consistent, it’s clearly some sour gravy that are not supposed to be. Overall small portions and pricy.
The cocktail is fantastic!
One thing really weird to me is the service, they are not rude but not welcoming either. It’s sad to see restaurants I liked that didn’t make me wanna go back again.

Had a wonderful date night dinner and everything was perfect. The server was very helpful and nice, and gave us some great recommendations. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and the saffron lumache was so delicious, just the right texture and flavor. Highly recommend!

Food was really good! The chicken is huge portion wise and very delicious. The pina colada dessert is kinda small but high quality. The free bread is mid and so is the service but overall good experience. The vibes are more casual than expected the outdoor seating looked beautiful.
